I originally bought this device because I had family visiting for a short stay, and it was between this and a nintendo switch and it turned out to be an excellent choice. It exceeded my expectations and continues to bring enjoyment even now. It’s perfect for when family visits, as it gets the job done. It runs games effortlessly and is a powerhouse I have never experince lag that wasnt network related and the loading times are insanley fasy compared to the ps4 I previously owned. Highly recommend for anyone in a similar situation! Although the storage was definitley now where near enough with some games easily occupying 10% to 25% of the storage. Another note the controllers feel great but are very flimsy even with minamal use you start to experince stick drift.

First, I appreciate the lower price of the digital edition. Sure there are downsides to not being able to use a disc however kids don't respect the disc anyway. If this were mine alone (if I enjoyed gaming) then the disc option is nice for sell/buy/trade. Second, I can't speak much for performance myself, but my teen loves it. Graphics look amazing to me! Third, my son isn't very techie for a teen so I have to do the work of setting things up. It was just as much of a pain as the PS4. Mostly my 45yo brain trying to remember (and be calm). It is important to go through and be sure things are truly locked down from our younger child. Fourth, online purchase and pick up from Best Buy is always a good experience.

Order this PlayStation for the theater room. Within 2 days it was overheating and turning off. Went back to best buy and they replaced with no questions asked. The new PlayStation works wonderfully.

The PS5 is easily one of the best consoles i have owned. The speed is incredible games load almost instantly, and switching between apps feels smooth. Works great, runs extremely quiet, I do wish it included a better stand rather than the cheap ones they provide, however, at least they provide something, inital setup of the console was super quick and easy. Quality of the PS5 is really good. The one thing I would recommend to anyone considering buying a ps5 slim without the disc drive is to buy the version that has the disc drive. Because the price is actually more expensive to add it later. However, if you were like me, I dont mind buying the disc drive at a later date. Especially since most of my games I own for the ps5 are digital. That way when I decide I do want the disc drive I can simply buy it.
