Love this Ps5! The older model is great, but the newer one looks fantastic, same performance with a sleek new look. Playstation has the best exclusive games, an awesome app to purchase games away from home. Bought this version as my secondary ps5 to use with the ps portal when they are available. Easy maintenance for cleaning, can upgrade your storage with an m.2 ssd in minutes, and so many accessories to choose from. Have and will always buy Playstation. Get one!

Other than missing the original external thin blue color box, the “open box - excellent” is no different than a brand new one. I waited too long, for less than two weeks the original slim digital version were sold out everywhere. When I was so desperate for not being able to get the last unit at my local Best Buy, I found an open box unit was popping up in a store 40 miles away. I didn’t wait this time and placed order online and drove 50 minutes to get the console. This is not my first PS5, I still have my standard fat disc version in addition to a PS5 Pro, but I just want to have a slim version that I can carry around and won’t feel too concerned to take with me during a long trip. I was thinking of getting a slim for travel for a long time, but it all changed when Sony increased PS5 price earlier this year, later Sony decided to downgrade the storage from 1TB back to 825GB on the slim digital version. Before Thanksgiving, only Best Buy still carried a good inventory of the original 1TB slim digital version, everywhere else started to bring in the updated downgrade version. After reviewing a video regarding tear down the new slim digital version, I realized the new slim version not only downsized storage, but also using cheaper materials. That’s why I insisted to get the old slim digital version.

I love my PS5! The graphics look amazing and games load super fast. The controller is the best part because it makes everything feel more real when you play. The only thing I don’t like is how big the console is and that the storage fills up quickly. Other than that, it’s been awesome to use.

First, I appreciate the lower price of the digital edition. Sure there are downsides to not being able to use a disc however kids don't respect the disc anyway. If this were mine alone (if I enjoyed gaming) then the disc option is nice for sell/buy/trade. Second, I can't speak much for performance myself, but my teen loves it. Graphics look amazing to me! Third, my son isn't very techie for a teen so I have to do the work of setting things up. It was just as much of a pain as the PS4. Mostly my 45yo brain trying to remember (and be calm). It is important to go through and be sure things are truly locked down from our younger child. Fourth, online purchase and pick up from Best Buy is always a good experience.

I originally bought this device because I had family visiting for a short stay, and it was between this and a nintendo switch and it turned out to be an excellent choice. It exceeded my expectations and continues to bring enjoyment even now. It’s perfect for when family visits, as it gets the job done. It runs games effortlessly and is a powerhouse I have never experince lag that wasnt network related and the loading times are insanley fasy compared to the ps4 I previously owned. Highly recommend for anyone in a similar situation! Although the storage was definitley now where near enough with some games easily occupying 10% to 25% of the storage. Another note the controllers feel great but are very flimsy even with minamal use you start to experince stick drift.

Very good. Expensive. Moving up to a PS5 from an XBOX One Series X one X. The system seems to have better audio from games, music, and TV than did the XBOX. And that is both wired with Audio Quest Cinnamon Cables. The interface is not as streamlined as the XBOX, but the home screens have a nice ambient music track that plays when on them. Speed seems similar if not giving a nod to the PS5. Controller is very different. XBOX wins for layout. PS5 wins for button count, on-board speaker, touchpad, and removable paddles - upgraded Sony controller; similar to the XBOX Elite 2 controller. Who ever thought putting the D-pad above the stick, well they were wrong; bad idea…but getting used to it. Headset connectivity has had zero issues, unlike the XBOX where sometimes it disconnects or won’t connect, or mic won’t work. Not so on the PS5, it just works. Size, color, and shape, XBOX wins. PS5 is big, bulky, and bright white, not fading gracefully into the background but sticking out like an oddly shaped sore thumb. Playstore is very much like the XBOX store. So much so I was hard pressed to see which games I could not get on my PS5. Though not the same for all, I was able to get all the games I play on the PS5. No issues there. The highest level subscription provides similar benefits between consoles, with a more reasonable price on the PS5. All in all, I like it, and will continue to use it letting MS keep their huge subscription price increase.

I’d owned a PlayStation 5 several years ago for a short time before selling it to a friend - I just wasn’t playing video games much at the time and figured my friend would get much more use out of it than me. Recently I’d seen this console was on sale and with it already being significantly cheaper than the original model I’d bought years ago (nearly $300 cheaper), I figured I’d give it a go again. With the alternative being to drop a few thousand dollars on a gaming PC to play the same games available on PlayStation, it’s safe to say I love this thing. I play games pretty frequently on it by myself and locally with friends, and I use it for movies and shows. I do not regret buying it this time around and get a significant amount of use on it that I think justifies the price, especially when it’s on sale. Get one!

I had the original PlayStation 5 and while the performance is identical, it's great to have the form factor of this one. It seems quieter, much smaller and lighter. Overall, great purchase. Good games, awesome controllers.

PS5 Slim form factor is excellent. Performance is great and it doesn't run too hot or loud. However, the digital version should come with a stand instead of having to pay an additional $30 for it being sold seperately.
