I thought this new model would not meet the same standards of the original as it is substantially smaller and has less cooling. Boy was I wrong. Playstation engineers really out did themselves. It's quieter, smaller and plays all the games the same if not better than the original. If you're looking to purchase a Ps5, definitely go for this model over the OG, it is better, bar none.

I like the slim down version of the PS5 compared to my original. Doesn't take up as much space and runs a lot smoother. Spiderman 2 was also a great game!

Personal opinion, the size the PS5 standard should be. I’m not a huge fan of having to register the disc drive with the system it’s a bit weird but at least the option is available. Overall pretty quiet system (disc drive can be a bit loud when downloading the data but otherwise quiet while playing). Good size and easy to setup. One issue that seems to be for a lot of people on initial setup when it installs some updates, it gets stuck and you have to hard reboot (I waited 15 minutes). Once done it completed the setup. Other than that games look amazing!

Graphics, speed, digital quality and realism are off the charts! PS5 is lightyears ahead of PS4! You almost feel like you are actually there. We could not be more pleased!

I have a PS4 Slim, and I just got a PS5 Slim. I use it mainly for playing FIFA series. I can honestly say, that 4K FIFA23 is AMAZING - no lag, realistic, smooth graphics - don't waste your life on PS4. I should have bought it three years ago when it was first released. I thought the cover was glassy and shiny, but it had a mat design and It felt cheap. Anyway, I don't care about the look, it is the gaming experience that matters.

A great console runs games very smoothly, and the graphics look amazing. I still need to buy the upright stand separately, which sucks but amazing buy none the less.

I finally upgraded my PS4. I must say the slim version is significantly smaller than the OG. Set up was easy. And i finally have the chance to use the other 4K 120 HDMI port on my TV. Games are absolutely gorgeous both picture and sound wise. The controller is comfortable to hold. And you can even play your PS4 games as well. Even those that are on an external HD. Since i dont have the space to stand it upright, the only con I have are the two cheap plastic feet that is included so you can stand it horizontally. So to fix that, I ordered a set of "skates" on Amazon. Other than that, i am very happy with this purchase.

I bought this as a gift for my son. He has had a couple other PlayStation consoles, but this one he likes the most, because the games he already had from the PlayStation 4 automatically loaded and updated plus he really enjoys the better definition of the graphics.

I bought this for my 13 year old son. He had saved a little over half the money for it from his allowance. I paid the rest since he continues to do well in school. He really enjoys playing this. He has had it for about 2 weeks now. No issues at all so far. Everything works well. The graphics are fantastic. He has already downloaded games and played ps4 games on it. Setting it up was easy, both the system and for the settings. Able to transfer the playstation online easy. Was able to get it on sale, and arrived on time in new condition.

Everything came in great condition, on time, and it was on sale when I got it. With a gift card I had, all and all I paid an amazing price for a great console. I would've paid full price, but it's especially great that I was able to buy this for only $50 more than I paid for my Nintendo Switch. lol Performance has been great with no issues. I like the condensed size compared to the OG PS5, especially since I've noticed no performance differences whatsoever. Fits a lot easier in my apartment. Highly recommend:)

I had been trying to wait for the Pro to come out, but finally gave in and got the Slim. It is night and day compared to the PS4. It felt like it took forever to navigate menus and check messages on the PS4. The PS5 is so fast and smooth and I love it. I put a 4tb drive in it so I wouldn't have to worry about space anytime soon. The only complaint I have is in regards to removing the cover. I felt like I was going to break something trying to remove it to put the 4tb drive in. It's not the easiest to remove, but I don't plan on removing it often.

What else can you want for the price,definitely a deal and ps5 slim is sweet, not as bulky and doesnt get as hot as the original

I've been wanting a PS5 since release but I've been holding on to my PS4 Pro this whole time. I'm still attached to my PS4 Pro but having a PS5 slim with the spiderman game for free for $450 is a nice upgrade. I mainly got it for my kid who wanted to play elden ring on it instead of the PS4. It was also an excuse for me to buy it for myself, so it's both of ours. Amazing console. Transfering everything from the Ps4 to the ps5 was also a breeze through the settings.

This new, slim version of the PS5 is beautiful, and a lot easier to physically set up than the original. My wife has been trying to get me to upgrade since she got her PS5 a few years ago, and I’m glad I finally did. The controller is truly next-level, with its ability to adapt to my plying style. The graphics are beautiful, the system settings easy to find and personalize. And I easily imported all of my PS4 games with no loss of data. The only downside is that you must have an external hard drive, as so may PS5 games run around 90-100 GB.

I bought this as an early birthday gift for myself and after adding an additional 2TB of storage I am able to play classics like Tomb Raider and then newer games like God of War and Black Myth Wukong! It’s enough for me and my kids to enjoy games and watch things like twitch and crunchyroll. Happy mom/casual gamer overall!

So far it works exactly like the PS5 fat. It is definitely considerably smaller in size, especially when it comes to depth. It's also much lighter. The extra storage is great. I wish this came with a physical copy of Spiderman instead of a download code but oh well.
