Spme things are different, and some are the same. The menu is hard to figure out. Too bad I didn't know that my dynamic themes would not work. I miss the one I purchased on my PS4. However, the PS5 is faster with loading. A pro is only better if you have a 4k tv. I don't. The PSN store still has issues loading. I have noticed quite a bit of lag that I didn't have on the PS4. The connections with other players are better. I just wanted to upgrade before these got expensive again. If it weren't for the worries of obtaining better peer to peer connections, I wouldn't really want to upgrade. Elden Ring wasn't letting is connect using PS4 to PS5 and vice-versa. So that's resolved. We haven't been able to connect since December 2024 updates. Sony never addressed it. I'm still not sure if the upgrade was worthwhile outside of that.

One area I did run into some issues was the remote game play on my ipad. While it worked, the game would sometimes freeze up or the frames would get jittery, however I recognize this could also be an issue with the WIFI of my remote location, nevertheless it still worked and me and my kids were sill able to enjoy the PS5 while away from home.
