My purchase was good I just had a hard time with getting tax exempt because I’m native but was only allowed to get tax off of if I ordered it online

I purchased a playstation 5 brand new from the 125 nw loop best buy location in san antonio texas on sunday 5/12. When i got home to open the item, the ps5 was broken. The cover was broken, with black smudges. when i went to return the ps5 the very next day 5/13 best buy refused to accept the refund because "the serial number console didnt match the box." regardless of the reason why they wouldnt accept my return, it was the very next day and they still denied me. If they think i am lying and switched out consoles, why would i purchase a protection plan, gaes, and an extra controller. I was completely scammed from best buy given a broken console. I am completely heartbroken an i do not know what to do. I returned the ps5 in the mail to bset buy and now i must wait 20 days for further notice. I pray to god i get a full refund or free exchange because this is completely unprofessional from best buy. worst experience ever. I will be canceling my credit card with best buy.
