Ordered my own PS5 for in-store pickup, and was able to pick it up literally the next day! The PS5 runs very smoothly, and I know it may seem small to some people, but the haptic feedback in the controllers is something I really love~! It makes the games feel more immersive! Currently playing FFVII Rebirth on my PS5 (the game which is more or less the reason I got a PS5 :3), and having a blast~!

Love this smaller version of the ps5, way faster load times and a new shine on my favorite older games.

This review is for those of you still rocking a PS4, like I did until a month ago. Please do yourselves a favor and upgrade. I was holding out for years, suffering through insanely long load times and waiting sometimes close to 40 minutes for a simple weekly game update to install before I could dive into actually playing. Gaming on an SSD is a breath of fresh air, and cuts down on loading and installation times more than 10-fold. The main OS is more visually pleasing and significantly more customizable than that of its predecessor, with a wider array of settings for game recording, chat audio, and various other features. Being able to massively expand device storage using a simple, user-friendly process is also a treat. It’s almost impossible to exaggerate how much better the experience is on one of these vs. gaming on the PS4, saddled with its smaller, slower spinny drive.

I was nervous to commit to this generation of games. I come from playing Xbox exclusively over the last 15 years. I made the switch this year, and honestly I don't think I'll ever go back to Xbox. The PS5 itself is awesome to look at, and Playstation is just a stronger library of games if you're not the type of gamer that plays exclusively for shooters. There's a lot of great to the PS5.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas and he was really surprised I knew what he wanted! He had his PS4 for many years and it was really acting up, so I surprised him with this! Happy husband, happy wife! Enough said!

I love my son, he uses it often and it is of very good quality, it does not heat up like others.

Works as expected. This is my households 2nd PS5. The first was the original. The only concern I have is that when it is laying down horizontally, it makes a low (but annoying) "chirping?" kind-of-sound when a game launches and throughout the gameplay. Once the game is closed, the sound stops. Stand it vertically, and no sound at all. I'm considering either an exchange or a Vertical Stand for another $30. I prefer it being horizontal for space issues. Anyway, I am enjoying it and for me (a 67 year old who now plays his games on "Easy"), I'm glad I didn't get the Pro.

We got our avid PS4 player son this for his birthday. It's so worth upgrading from the PS4. All of his PS4 games transferred effortlessly to his PS5 via his PlayStation account. No more messing /investing into headsets. Microphone built into the controller! It was between this and a gaming PC that he wanted. And I wasn't financially ready to go the pc route. And thank God I didn't. An inexpensive Amazon purchases of a wireless keyboard and mouse work with the PS5! They're always on point with the price in comparison to other stores. I won't buy anywhere else because I have to have the geek squad protection which comes in clutch. Especially with controllers and notorious drift issues. Easy peasy getting replacements.
