Nostalgia flash back

It looks cool but...
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It looks cool but honestly Nintendo did a way better job with their emulation. Could've had better games as well, but at least it would look as a display item in my collection.

Good but not great
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is a good mini PlayStation. Just wish it had a better selection of games. Sure metal gear and final fantasy are top tier but there are some I never heard of and after playing them I know why. And I don’t like that they used the first gen controller with no analog sticks.

Finally worth it for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When this initially came out, the price tag of $80 was tough to swallow. However at $20 the PS Classic becomes totally worth it to relive classic nostalgia from the PS1 era. The two controllers make playing multiplayer very convenient and although the selection of games is not perfect, it still gives you some great value.

An Important Console Returns.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved the PlayStation growing up and this little recreation of it is great. The games list isn't the greatest it could have been but it would have been tough to please everyone. Some real great game like Final Fantasy VII, Metal Gear Solid, Wild Arms, Syphon Filter and Tekken 3 are on here in their original form and I've had a lot of

Meh... for hard core fans only
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Full disclosure I got this on ridiculous discount so for what I paid $20ish - it's fine and I have very low expectations. Basically if I play it a few times, it's "worth" it but if I paid anywhere near MSRP I would be really really disappointed. The game selection is pretty meh, the graphics are pretty terrible, somehow they seem a LOT worse than I remember them from when I has a PS1. Who knows maybe it's my nostalgia that makes me think the graphics were better than they were... all in all probably only worth it if you really want to play the games included and are OK with the limitations.

Great console for nostalgia.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I pre-ordered the PlayStation Classic because it was a console I grew up playing. With the craze of classic mini consoles being released, I didn't wanna miss out. As negative reviews started to leak out, I started to become a bit disappointed, but I still purchased it and gave it a shot. Unfortunately the PlayStation Classic fell short. Yes, it's a great throwback, Yes, it's fun, but the choices of games leaves you wanting more. The settings that Sony decided to give you out of the box leave you wanting so much more. Thankfully with a price cut, and the ability to do some work under the hood (if that's your sort of thing), the PlayStation Classic is an enjoyable console.

Worthy product at a sale price!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The nostalgia factor for this is off the charts. At the original asking price, I would say that this was not worth it, but on sale the device exceeds all expectations. Directly out the box the experience is adequate but with a little bit of time and effort (and browser search or two) you can really make it shine.

Fun Classics, but does not come with an AC Adapter
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have actually had fun with the PlayStation Classic and currently playing Jumping Flash. The one annoying thing about the PlayStation Classic is that it does not come with an AC Adapter and the USB Port on my 4K TV could not power the console. I did have to go back and buy an AC Adapter for $12 which was not the end of the world, but everything required to play the console should be included. I took 2 stars off since some of the graphics are a bit choppy on a few games and that an USB AC Adapter was not included.

Awesome if you're willing to tweak it a bit.
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought this on sale, so I am going to review it based on the price we paid. It's a cool little retro console, that does have a nice selection of must-have PSX games. Unfortunately, while it would be a fun way for some people to relive their youth, it does come with a few drawbacks. Namely: 1. Some of the games come in PAL versions, which are arguably inferior to NTSC. 2. There is no way to play your old game CDs or update the game library without jailbreaking the system. 3. The emulation is unfortunately not perfect, which is a shame. Fortunately, if you're willing to dig a bit and dedicate some time to installing custom software on it you can fix the above-mentioned issues and get an awesome little emulation box with an obvious visual cool factor.

Love it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My husband was so surprised when he opened this up for his birthday! He loves it! Easy set up, long cable on the controllers. Lots of great games, although there are some classic games he wishes were included. Ordered online and it arrived so fast too!

Pretty Good Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Super nostalgic and very cool to have as a collector's item. Some of the games are slow to use because of the technology of 4k, 120hz televisions, but it works well for entertainment. Now, that there is a price drop, it is a very good Best Buy purchase.

Simple, works fine
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It does what it is supposed to. Games look and play the same as they did. These are old games and you should expect the experience to feel a little dated, as with any retro console. The hardware looks great and is appropriately priced after the cut.

Cool - but temper your expecations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off - I got this simply for the nostalgia factor. I knew the game selection was very limited. The system and controllers look and feel so cool. It is pretty worthless though without hacking the system. Hack it, add the games you want, enjoy!

Very Enjoyable Device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very handy device for playing some classic PSOne games, especially if you don’t have a PS3 or PS4. The library is very limited (remember a PS1 game is much bigger than an NES or SNES one) and it’s annoying they give a USB power cable but not a power brick, hence my 1 star deduct. Still a great system though.

Good but not great.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Stock, and full price, this mini console isnt worth it, but at a discount ($40), I find the value to be fair. The system works fine as it is and is held back more by what games it lacked, and some choices of games. It does not have an ac adapter for the usb, so youll have to buy one or use a spare phone one.

Great for collectors only.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. At this new low price, it is worth it. It is very small and the design is pretty similar as the original console. However, the game selection is not very good. It lacks many of the good popular games and the gameplay in most cases is slow. Also, the controllers don't have the analog sticks. I only recommend it if you are a collector. I don't think you would spend much time playing it. It looks good with my other retro consoles and I can utilize the HDMI cable included for any other device.

Good but not great
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you've heard of this item you might have heard the issues a lot of the games have. There's potentially a great product here but you need to buy extra hardware to access that potential: keyboard, activating the USA versions of games, etc. When you buy it on sale it's absolutely worth it though!

Good old classic PlayStation
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The new price-point makes this an exceptional purchase. Owning any of these on physical discs or digital downloads would be more cumbersome and expensive. The cons are well established and can be found on a myriad of articles or blogs, so I’ll be brief. PAL versions of some of the games listed here and some odd entries for a supposed best of compilation made me leery until the price drop. The controllers not having toggles and not including an adapter were annoying if you paid msrp; the original ps1 contrilollers were toggle-less. All can be easily overlooked for >$30. What you will be paying for is the potential of this unit. It’s computing power is actually amazing for its price point. I can’t tell you to void the warranty by “modifying” the unit with a memory stick. I also can’t suggest unlocking existing code.... For the price the existing games listed are well worth the sub $30.

Great retro console
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this on sale for $20 and found it to be a good deal for the price. The game choices could have been a little better, but for $20, I'm not complaining. Easy setup and it is nice having the two controllers. The build quality is very good and I should get many years of use out of it.
