Customers are saying

Customers love the PlayStation Classic Console's affordable price and the inclusion of two controllers, finding it easy to use and a nostalgic trip down memory lane. However, many are disappointed with the limited game selection and some have noted issues with the emulation quality. The compact size is also a frequently praised feature.

I would not have purchased this at the original full price, but at the discounted sales price it is a good deal. Sony really missed the mark with their classic remake. The biggest problem is the poor selection of included games. They should have paid more attention to what Nintendo did with the NES and SNES classic. Hopefully they will do a PS2 classic and include a better game selection.

Is a great little "classic" counsel for reliving some of those older games, but would have like it to have a better selection of games. However; that is a PS issue not a Best Buy problem.

This is a really cool remake of the PS1. Highly recommend for collectors. If you're not a collector, you might not get too much out of it. Could've been a tad bit better game selection.

I got the PlayStation Classic on sale for 20 dollars and I think the price is justified there. But any higher and I wouldn’t have bought it. I think this system is just okay. My biggest complaint is the lack of games that I felt defined the PS1 era. No Spyro, no Crash and no Tony Hawk Pro Skater. That being said, there are games worth playing on here but the lineup should have been better.

It’s a great value for the price. Definitely justified for the games that are included. Also, it’s very easy to add any game you’d like.

I saw this and had to get it! It comes with 20 pre-loaded games (only and no disc use). But still a fairly cheap and nostalgic way to relive the late 90s. Great for a traditionalist gamer.

Great value at $20! Very good selection of games. The quality of the games is lower than expected but still a great deal for the price.

Sony released the Playstation 1 more than 20 years ago, and it is easily one of the greatest, if not the greatest, console ever made! I have no idea what they were thinking here. Some of the games play great... others... why in the blue heck did you use PAL versions of Tekken?? So we can play in perpetual slow motion??? You put 20 games on it... we did not need TWO Cool Boarders!

The original PlayStation is one of only two pieces of PlayStation hardware that I never owned (the other being the Vita), but I always wanted one. Never trusted private sellers enough to take the plunge on a used one. So when this was announced, I was very excited, and the initially-announced 5 games out of the total of 20 (Final Fantasy VII, Tekken 3, Ridge Racer Type 4, Jumping Flash, and Wild Arms) got me excited for what was coming. Sadly, the bulk of the remaining 15 games did not stick the landing. The quality of the console and the controllers themselves feels great, but....man, the games. There are really only two upsides to owning this: the fact that I paid only $20 for it, and the games that can be loaded to this circumvent the mostly-atrocious included library. If you can nab it at the price I did (again, $20), it definitely merits consideration.

Love retro controllers playing older games but this doesn't have a fine selection of originals that I liked. However with some modification it is a excellent retroarch player!

meh, game list could have been better. and i can not fathom why all of the roms are the PAL versions, it makes absolutely no sense. Do your self a favor and get the usb drive that is compatible and at the very least gain access to the emulator menu "triangle + start" hack. then you can set all of the games to boot into ntsc vs pal.

It's not perfect. The games could be better, and they don't have the same charm that they did in the 90's. But at $20, can we really complain too much?

Great for old school gamers who missed the favorite games. Only problem is the games installed have a tendency to slow down. Despite the time I paid $20 it's still worth it.

The build quality is good, the game selection is just ok. The software and features are severely lacking compared to its main competitor. It could have been great. The PlayStation classic is what happens when you don’t care about the quality of the device you are putting out. Maybe someday Sony will actually put there heart into one of these classic systems and we will get a amazing system.

Wait till this goes on sale. The product itself is top notch and will bring back the nostalgic days when PlayStation was the hot system to own. So many great games! Unfortunately almost all of those games are missing and the ones included leave a lot to be desired. Buy on sale, and even then you may want to skip this one as opposed to the superior NES Classic and SNES Classic systems.
