Different from the PS3, the PS4 requires this subscription if you wnat to play online. That is disappointing but I guess both gaming consoles PS4 and XBox went that direction, leaving customers with no options.

When I purchased the package I was told the games that would be offered would be well worth it, but I am not entirely satisfied.

I used to love Playstation for giving us online gaming for free compared to XBOX. I genuinely appreciated it. And when Playstation Plus came about, I didn't know too much about it, but I respected Sony that much more for giving the consumer the option to pay for perks or continue playing for free. It wasn't until the online services were restored following the PSN blackouts in Aprl and May that I had the opportunity to try a month of Playstation Plus for free. I'm glad I did. After coming home from Iraq, I found that my Playstation had taken a beating from the harsh elements of the desert.Playstation Plus allowed me to back up all my saved data online with more than enough memory to store everything I held dear in terms of game saves, including the data that is copy-protected. This feature alone is worth it to me, as my Playstation disk drive needed to be repaired. In order to be repaired, Sony, for whatever reason, needed to wipe my harddrive. So, prior to shipping it to them, I backed up all my data online. A little time consuming, but worth the effort. When I got my system back, I downloaded all my saves to my system, reinstalled game software, and picked up right where I left off. Thanks Sony!

When you have a winning product, why taint your success with Microsoft-like business practices.

Every month you get free games as PSN user. Keep in mind if your subscription expires, you will lose your games and can no longer play them unless you buy them, even if you renew your subscription. If you want to keep your PSN games, all you have to do is make sure you renew your subscription on time, make sure you are up to date with that, if you're not sure, just purchase another subscription and apply now, it'll just add more time to current subscription.

Obviously it was cool that PS online used to be free, but i understand a move to pay for online from a business perspective. The price for a year is very fair, free ps plus games are great and not to be underestimated. Plenty of online players and great connection (if you have good internet of course). Great fun. Not as bloated as Xbox online I would say.

This couldn't be an easier process. Just buy, get code, redeem code, play games. As far as value for Playstation Plus, I have used it quite a bit so far. I wish there were more free games, but my kids have enjoyed many of the free titles available. Being able to demo a new game for an hour is a pretty neat idea since I have found that I either enjoy or hate a game early on in the experience. Overall, I would recommend trying Playstation Plus though maybe not for the full year subscription if you are unsure.

You must have ps plus to play online multiplayer. Fair price and many features. Must have for ps4 owners.

I've been a PS Plus user since it came out last year. I really enjoy it and feel like it's a great value, but not everybody thinks the same. Essentially, if you spend a lot of money buying games on PSN (or if you want to play them at a cheaper price), PS Plus is for you. It doesn't affect Online Multiplayer or anything, so don't expect it to. The only downside to buying it online through Best Buy is that you have to wait a few hours to get it (in my case, about 3 hours). This isn't too big of a deal, but it should be noted before slapping down the money. The price Best Buy gives you is right on the mark and you don't have to drive to get it, so online does save money. Go for it :)

Sony did WELL with PSPlus, especially now, a year later, with even more Great features... =] Besides in store discounts, with PSPlus, you get online save game storage, automatic game updates, free games, free themes, free avatars, free Qore episodes, game beta access, etc, & if you really think about it, the value of what you gain, is worth far more, than what you pay for... >.> ...But Shhh......don't tell Sony... o.O (=P)

Access for lots of exclusive itens, like game trials and free games. Totally worth it

Definitely a Best Buy! With PlayStation Plus you get tons of free games and goodies, discounts on games, and a cool Plus badge on your profile. Just the free games alone more than pays for this subscription! I have downloaded over $100 worth of free stuff.

I've downloaded many great free games, some of them I dind't even know about. Well, I know they're not free, they last until my suscription expires, but if high quality titles keep coming, I wouldn't think twice to renew my suscription next year.

The Playstation Plus annual membership is a great value with the instant game collection. While you will certainly want to buy other games for the PS3 than the ones the instant game collection provides, you don't have to. Over the course of just the past few months, the content keeps coming and coming.

Easy To Purchase was a nice way quickly purchase product. I was under the assumption that it would arrive right away but it took awhile I do not recall how long but it was no more than a 24hr period. Usually downloaded product should be available right away after payment goes thru.

I downloaded 2 brand new PS3 titles for free the first day I was a plus member, which already more than paid for the 12 month price. Since then I have downloaded many $15-$20 arcade style games for free!

This is a great buy if you love free games and discounts. Only thing is that most of the games that are free, i already had purchased. I mainly bought it for the game data saves dough. Just in case something goes wrong with my PS3 and I cant recover the data. Its all good because everything will be saved online. Big bonus is the discount i got when i bought the 2 year ps3 warranty. So now i am covered for everything that might happened.

Free older full games, early access to betas, free mini games, huge discounts on new DLC and new full releases -- what's not to love?
