My iMac would only read them through direct connection i.e. not through USB hub. When connected to USB hub I would get message claiming they needed to be connected to a powered USB. 15 gb transfer on the iMac was 87 minutes, on the PC it was 40. I only bought these because I need 32 gb and the store did not have the faster model in stock.
