They work great for my application.

They work well and do not get hot when always plugged in. These are USB 2.0 so don't expect amazing speeds but they are fine for always being left in the port without it getting so hot you'll burn yourself when you remove it. For me, these will be left in indefinitely and I know they'll last because they run really cool. Great for any OS install like unRAID, ESXi, etc.
