You getwhat you pay for. The size is great but the compatibility is very limited to certain devices.

this is a big flash drive and it costed the same price as 8 gb of a different brand

Seems to work ok. Was a little surprised after opening package to find out that plug insert is plastic instead of metal.

I love this model of pny usb drives. I have many and have never had a problem with any of them. This is the 2.0 so it's a bit slower but not an issue with playback so it's not a big deal. 3.0 will give you faster transfers but if you don't mind the wait, the price savings is worth it.

Only thing missing is a cover. My 5 year old stuck it in Playdo. Still works for now.

I have always had excellent success with PNY and it is no different in this case.

Like anyone using computers for the last decade or more, I've been using USB-connectable devices pretty much on a daily basis. And lately I've been getting great deals from Best Buy, thanks to their Daily Deals program so for a 64gb USB Flash Drive for such a great price ($37 after taxes) was a no-brainer. I opened the product packaging and was quite shocked to see the USB connector, usually made from metal, was made of a flimsy plastic! At first I thought it was some packing cover I forgot to remove but no ... it was plastic. Not hard plastic but that kind of plastic sheet material that you can fold into a shape and it even if the shape doesn't stay, the creases remain. I could squish it with my fingers with no problem. It's disappointing to me to see how the quality of things has changed over the years. Calling software "apps" now means they don't even have to run correctly. Nothing drives me crazier than putting my hard-earned money and have something not ship for months, or arrive broken, or not install correctly, or not work at all for that matter. (Yes, I guess I'm showing my age ... but I think the expectation of quality is a moral question of trust between buyer and manufacturer/developer and should be expected at any age.) Rant aside, I sighed and inserted the drive into my system, it was recognized and I moved on. Two days later, not an hour after backing up one of product folders on my laptop, my phone rang and as I stood and reached for it I bumped my laptop against my arm, the side of my wrist catching this new flash drive. After swearing at the robo-call regarding "important information" about I timeshare I didn't own, I noticed a failure message on my laptop screen stating that a USB device had malfunctioned. Sure enough, I looked at the side of the laptop and the new PNY flash drive was askew in its slot. I thought I had knocked it loose (thought I'd never seen a USB device plug at such an angle) but nope, the plastic had bent itself into nearly a right angle. I did my best to straighten it out and plugged it in again. Same malfunction message. Other slots, same message. Another laptop, same message. Apparently the card inside the plastic connector was damaged. In the end, yes I was a bit clumsy but I have been so more than once in my life. I've bumped, banged and caught extraneous USB-connected cords, plugs and devices from time to time ... and really, who hasn't? But this ... this has never happened and I absolutely have to believe that paper-thin plastic folded to fit a USB slot offers little to no protection when compared to a metal connector. I'm not perfect and I don't expect anyone or anything else to be either ... but I do expect a "reasonable" effort to be made. If I had dropped the laptop or crashed against it with any real sense of force I would just have face-palmed myself and called it a day. But this was at best a bump. Make of it what you will ... but if this is how a "deal" price has to be reached I'd just as soon pay a little more and keep the metal connector. What I'm really afraid of though (nodding back to my earlier rant) is that this plastic will replace all the metal connectors but the prices will simply stay where they are. In the end I don't think I'll buy anymore PNY products without a good long list of reviews or being able to see the item itself with my own eyes. Also, I'll be much more careful in the future ordering ANY USB connecting devices ... just in case. It's a real shame when consumers feel like they have to actively protect themselves to such a degree these days ... even from brand names.

easy to use. used for 1 year so far and no complaint.

I have used PNY memory sticks before and had good results with them.
