Great drive until it wasn’t

Unfortunately, in my case, the drive wasn’t consistently being recognized after about two weeks. Returned and purchased a comparable ScanDisk drive, which has worked great so far.

I have it in many different capacities. I like PNY because when I open it, I am not faced with driver folders and other stuff that clutter up a SanDisk Flash Drive. I have had good luck with them until I bought the 256GB model and used it on my Win 8.1 desktop. The read and write speeds are dreadful and unusable. My Win 10 laptops seem to function adequately, but it is no rocket ship.

No faster than usb 2.0 thumb drive

I don't know if it's because I was backing up a large number of smaller files rather than a small number of large files. However, it did backup all the files necessary and wasn't any slower.
