I purchased this to use with my new laptop and the laptop does not show that is available when I plug it in. The laptop does recognize other flash drives.

I purchased this drive because it was on sale for a good price. I have had issues with PNY drives in the past but decided to give this drive a chance. The first thing I noticed was speed issues right off the bat. The drive would start very fast, then drift off to crawling. From there it would be up and down during the transmission, speeding up and slowing down. I thought this was an issue with the computer I was using, but did it on several others with the same results. The other issues was it would just disappear or I would have to plug it in several times for computer to recognize it. I still use the drive to back up things, but it still runs slow. If speed is important, I would not recommend this drive.

I bought this drive for video game back ups and was drawn in by the price and advertised as USB 3.0. TERRIBLE transfer speeds! Tried in different USB ports including USB 3.0 and 2.0. Made no difference. Transfer speeds caps out at 11MB/s. Took over 6 HOURS to transfer 200gb. My USB 2.0 Seagate Freeagent from 2004 tranfers 10x faster than this piece of garbage! On top of horrendous transfer speeds the protector that slides over the USB connector feels like its going to break every time you slide it back and forth. It feels more like a knockoff brand ordered from Wish. You shouldn't pay more than $10 for this drive based off of the poor all around quality you receive! This will be the last time I buy anything PNY!
