This product was good until i couldn't transfer a large file. This is only build for smaller sized files. 20 gig and down

I'm not sure who to be more upset with. PNY for manufacturing such garbage or bestbuy for selling me this trash and then making the return process a giant headache. DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK. Not only is it the most tight fitting usb flash drive I've ever used but sliding it open and closed is next to impossible. It's almost like they want you to break it on accident with normal use. Reading other reviews I'm not the only one to experience this. You can find out the hard way if you really want to.

Worst god awful thumb drive I've ever had. USB 3.0 is a joke on this thing. It took 12 minutes to move 1gb of data, plugged into a USB 3.0 slot. My free thumb drive from Micro Center is 50 times faster than this garbage. Then halfway through watching a movie on my TV and the movie throws up an error code. Now the drive is unrecognizable. I tried to use their recovery software. Nothing. DO NOT BUY THIS FLASH DRIVE.

The Geek Squad purchased this on my behalf to save my files from a dead computer. I hardly ever use thumb drives and prefer larger capacity external hard drives. This one is very hard to use!

Less than 2 months old, used for a few days and the drive is already dead. Now I have to go through the PNY RMA process to get it replaced. Not happy. Worked great while it lasted.

Save your money and buy something else. This flash drive is extremely slow. It'll only writes fast for a few seconds and then it'll hover around 1MB/s for the remaining time. I reformatted it and still got the same results It took over 3 hours to transfer 50GB.

Great for the amount of space, but when opening a saved document it would open great sometimes, then have problems and have to call to work around it to fix. waste of my time.

This USB crashed on me twice with movies stored on it - which is time consuming to duplicate - now I'm afraid to use it for much. And yes I did use the proper "safe to remove this device" method.

This feedback about Silver/Black P-FD128TBOP-GE
Brand new drive wipes all data itself if more than 2.8Gb of files copied on it. Read/write speed never exceed USB 2.0 speed. "Rapid transfer", "USB 3" etc promises are false. Sent back to PNY by RMA.
Do not buy. If bought do not trash package for quick return to store and immediately test it by copying more than 3-4Gb on it, reconnect and verify files.

My drive became unreadable and had lots of important data on it. I took the time to find the time and proper software to recover the data. But by then, I was past the 1 year warranty. A Sandisk or Transcend product is covered for life, so I never thought I was buying inferior junk with PNY. A very nice tech at PNY said there was nothing they could do, and it shouldn't have failed unless it was used very heavily. Mine was barely used. I hope they enjoy the bad reviews that they truly deserve. I own tons of drives and know how to care for equipment. This is a bad product.
