While the product itself is good the fact that u lose ten gigs before putting anything on it is just a ripoff. U are buying at retail= full price yet of u purchase you are shorted ten gigs. Make it make sense

I purchased this flash drive because I needed to move several large files to and from several computers at work. I have an external hard drive but it is for my personal computer files and I didn't want to have to take it to work.
So on Easter Sunday when I saw this flash drive was on sale, I thought it would be the perfect solution. However, when I took it to work and attempted to add files to the flash drive I got an error message informing me that the disk was full. But there was nothing on it...
I did some internet research about this issue and found that this was a common problem. One site recommended formatting the flash drive so I tried it and was able to save my information.
Then I took the flash drive to another computer to print out the saved data and was unable to open my saved files.
This product is not dependable at all and I returned it.

PNY P-FD128TBOP-GE (silver color) flashdrives can have different capacity.
I have initially got one flashdrive that had 127,968,411,648 bytes 119 GB , then I got two same drives 128 GB each but they had only 125,529,718,784 bytes 116 GB.
Technical support stated to me that they may come from different factories they have. I was asked to return the two new flashdrives and try a different batch a few weeks later. I am questioning the quality control at PNY ... they only have 1 year warranty ...

It worked for the first week. Then it would start to freeze during any size file transfers from my computer to the USB stick. (Drive was formatted HFS+ for Mac) Now it does not mount or show up on any computer. Complete failure. Currently in the works with PNY doing a a RMA for a warranty claim. Hope they send me one that will last.

Poor quality, keeps connecting and disconnecting from multiple computers and multiple USB interfaces. Only had 92gb of usable space when first connected instead of 128gb of capacity as advertised.

128GB flash drive had only 32GB of storage. Be sure to check the storage of the drive to make sure they didn't give you a low capacity drive in the shell labeled 128BG.

I bought 2 of these and copied files from an internal SSD. I found write speeds to be incredibly slow, only about 1-10 MB/s. I plugged them into different USB 3.1 Gen2 ports on my computer with the same result. I reformatted the drives to exFAT, but they were still slow. To make sure the computer was OK, I transferred the same files to an old Lexar flash drive I had. The transfer speeds to it were several hundred MB/s. The drives I purchased certainly do not operate at USB3 speeds

What's the point in backing up to a flash drive when ones like these are so unreliable? It sat for a couple of months after a move. When I was able to get my computer set up & tried to sync files, only one small file shows on the flash drive, yet properties shows I have 40gb used... nothing shows up in hidden... it prompts me to format, warning everything will be erased, then it fails to format. Now I feel vulnerable bc not everything is backed up as securely as I like it. So pointless.

While copying a large file 2+GB onto the flash drive, the drive crashed after 4+ minutes. Other information on the drive is no longer available. This had happened to me twice during the last 1.5 months. I've exchanged the drive to Bestbuy once. This 2nd drive also exhibits the similar problem. This problem wiped out all existing data on the drive - bummer!

I purchased this device to use with my Surface Pro 2. Since the SP2 only has one USB port, I use a hub. The hub works perfectly for my 2TB external HDD, webcam, headset, and printer. What doesn't work? The PNY 128GB drive.
I contact support and I was told that hubs were neither tested nor supported. Basically, I need to unplug every device I have to plug the PNY into my single USB port.
This device should be avoided.

Most reviews are buyers euphoria, please wait a couple months then review it. Mine worked fine out of the box, then after about 5 times using it the glitches started. I am asked to format the drive every time I plug it in. Go to the PNY website, there is a firmware update for just the 128gb drive. PNY customer service is terrible. They want me to send it back and pay postage ($5 for a drive they know is bad) BEFORE they send me a new one. REALLY, what about my confidential data on it? Never buying from them again.

Last time it was deal of the day I bought 3 of these. The first one failed immediately. best buy let me exchange it in store and that one worked for almost two months. The other two I bought never worked at all. Wouldn't read or write anything from the day they came out of the package. Had to return them for store credit. Normally I do not write reviews because a item failed I know that happens from time to time but out of the 4 I actually ended with only 1 worked for a little while and the others failed immediately. That's just either a bad coincidence or in my opinion a bad product

I originally bought 2 of these, gave one to my girlfriend. Opened mine up, tried it on 5 different computers and couldn't get a single one to recognize it. Returned it the next day and got a replacement. 2 days later my girlfriends stopped working. It has now been about 2 weeks and my replacement has stopped working. Very disappointed. Will be returning for refund this time.

Bought the PNY - Turbo Plus 128GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive today. Plugged it into my Maverick MacBook Pro. It recognized it and I copied 7gb of data. Ejected it. Plugged it in to my Yosemite MacBook Pro, it did not recognize it. Plugged it back into my Maverick MacBook Pro, it no longer recognized it either. No sure I can return it for a refund because it contains proprietary information. Junk. Don't waste your money. Do other searches on PNY USB drives and you'll find a lot of talk of them failing. Wish I'd have done that before buying.

Maybe I got a lemon, but a flashdrive dying in a single day with no drops/physical damage is just a little too unreliable. Wasn't happy to have to drive back to return this piece of junk, most likely component failure

They arrived just before I left on vacation; my cleaning person threw out the receipt & packaging. When I returned, I learned that neither would mount on my computer; they were invisible. One of the 2 was visible to my formatting software; but when I tried to format it, to see if that would fix the problem, it instantly was "unable to write to last sector" and went no further. The Apple Genius Bar had identical (non-)results. I can't return them; I can only not trust PNY anymore.

Slowest thumb drive ever bought; low price but not worth it at one fourth the price; takes HOURS to transfer 20 gig - terrible; problem seems the actual storing; xfer quick - stops for long period - xfer quick - stops for long period on and on; whatever it is doing during the long periods counts against the transfer time; I will never buy another PNY product; can't trust 'em.
