    Finally an actual evolution to a growingly stale series. There are some graphics issues that will annoy at times but the effort to advance the formula into a new form is worthy of praise

    Honestly the game concept is cool but where it really struggles for me is the functionality of the game. The controls are pretty weird especially with joy cons and I really dislike how the b button is no longer the run button which was tradition in Pokémon games. I wouldn't complain if you could change the controls, but you can't. If you're considering buying this game I'd probably have a better controller than just joy cons especially considering the aiming function. Otherwise I'd give the game 4 stars if it's controls weren't so weird.

    Fun and new style of gameplay for the first time in a long time in the series. A bit repetitive like all Pokémon games though. I still enjoyed it though.
