Seemed like a breath of fresh air but…

Owned for 1 year when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Coming from someone whose last Pokémon game was Diamond and Platinum (yes, I am aware that makes me sound old) I wasn’t interested in returning back to Pokémon especially seeing the diamond and pearl remakes didn’t entice me to return to the series. I did give this game a try because it seemed like a breath of fresh air but it got old pretty quick. I get it this is a game made for kids but wish they took a little more risk with this game. Nevertheless I did enjoy what I had played.

Odd controls for a pokemon game

The controls are pretty weird especially with joy cons and I really dislike how the b button is no longer the run button which was tradition in Pokémon games. I wouldn't complain if you could change the controls, but you can't. If you're considering buying this game I'd probably have a better controller than just joy cons especially considering the aiming function. Otherwise I'd give the game 4 stars if it's controls weren't so weird.

One of them loves it, and the other just likes it alot. He said there is to much reading with it. All in all they are happy with it.
