Another Good One
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Interesting new spin on Pokémon games. Many people say it has a feeling like BotW. I already spent a few hours just running around in the first area. Catching Pokémon and completing challenges are both fun experiences without even progressing the story yet.

A new Pokémon experience
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game offers a refreshing perspective on the classic Pokémon formula. Set in the distant past you help research mysterious phenomena and show the common people at the time that Pokémon are not to be feared but embraced as friends. Habitats are fun to explore and offer incentive to find the various Pokémon that live there. Battle is fluid with satisfying animations to really make you feel the heat of the moment. Overall would reccomend to anyone looking to find a fresh new experience that offers a new look at where the Pokémon experience can evolve.

Best Pokémon game in recent years
||Posted . Good first attempt for the new direction .
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good first attempt for a new direction in the Pokemon games. The game play can be repetitive at times but it keeps you engaged still. The character models look good but the world graphics are ruff at times. When Pokemon are in the distance the frame rate goes to the gutter on their animations but it does not kill the game experience . I've had 2 crashes on my playtrough. Still a good game , hope they keep improving on future games .

Botw meets Pokémon!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a beautiful game that feels like Zelda: Breath of the Wild meets Pokémon. Wide open maps, tasks to keep you busy and a pretty good story. The catch or fight system makes the game challenging as you try to complete your Pokédex quests. Great game!

Fun and Fresh New Take on Pokémon
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pokémon Legends Arceus does a good job freshening up the traditional Pokémon format and makes strides towards a new future. The game features open-world-esqe areas and players have much freedom in how they explore/catch Pokémon. Unlike most previous games the goal of the game is to complete the Pokémon, and it was a fun challenge to complete due to how fluid the catching system was. Story was pretty simple; nothing too special there. Fun and hard postgame content as well. Only real complaint would be the framerate; I didn’t mind it when I played through it initially, but I checked in again after playing through Skyward Sword HD and could immediately tell how framey the game was. If you’re a type of person who tends to notice framerates, you may have trouble enjoying this game. Besides that, highly recommend.

Experimental Success But Needs Polish
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As someone who got so into action games that I can hardly stand playing pure turn based games such as Pokemon anymore (which is very sad for me because this was a big part of growing up for me)... This game was great! The action is uh, kinda bad compared to other games I'm used to, such as Ys, Monster Hunter, and Platinum Games, but it suffices, and for the first time in years, I was able to avoid dropping a Pokemon game, because I can just sneak up on pokemon and throw balls at them. This really was the breath of fresh air and innovation that Pokemon's main series needed. Hell, they need it overall because the flow of console spinoff games had dried up for a while, too. And if you don't have my extremely specific problem, you can fight pokemon normally, too, with flawlessly smooth transitions without loading screens, and a few minor twists to the normal battle mechanics to add spice. I wish people would shut up about open world being amazing, though. Graphical prowess is a very low priority on my list, but even I think the world looks incredibly boring. It's kinda just the same few trees, water, and grass everywhere in variable elevations/corridors, with pokemon and items littered about at good intervals. Like, it's not a disaster, but it's far from interesting. Probably would have preferred to have more dedicated smaller stages that don't have to be super detailed like in Monster Hunter Rise. This game is a fantastic start, and I seriously hope they keep going in this direction, because I have no idea if I can go back to the old stuff.

Great game
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely LOVED this game. I’ve been a Pokémon fan since the 90s and have played every main title in the series. This was a breath of fresh air for the series. A lot of fun exploring and definitely more incentive to fill the Pokédex up.

Pokemon Go is worth a buy!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good game and a lot of fun. I've only just started playing pokemon games and being a fan of pokemon go, it was really nice to step into one that is much more interactive than the phone game. Graphics have a Breath of the Wild look but overall are fitting for the game. I like that you can explore and catch pokemon in an open world setting. If you are a fan of the games and series it would be a must have.

Amazing!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was done with Pokemon since Pokemon Emerald, I'm glad I came back to this. I really hope this is the direction that Pokemon continues to go. I prefer having loads of Pokeballs, revives, and potions, then explore in a way that doesnt focus only the battling aspect. Pokemon level up quickly and the game can be fast pace if you concentrate on the main story, which I haven't, but Ive gathered stars very quickly. There so much more to do! The only thing I think is weird is the character customization, I think Kimodos with the shoes selection makes it look like Im running around in pajamas. But thats not a big part of the game. The multiplayer is not really worth talking about. Trading is allowed with 2 player sharing a pin number. I like entering 1111, youre guaranteed a random person.
