After rolling credits and completing all of the main story missions. I can say that this is one of favorites in the series. While the lack of voice acting and some visual flatness are a bit jarring when you go through the game, the actual gameplay loop and story beats were fun and addicting! I think Legends is a strong comeback from Scarlet/Violet and worth the purchase for pokemon fans. For anyone new to the series I would consider this to be a bit of a harder sell if you're dipping your feet, but would be easy to get used to nonetheless.

Battle system is more like the anime in ZA. It’s a fun game overall. No voice acting and and city looks pretty out dated. 4k for switch 2 and most textures look good.

Best Pokémon game ever! Since playing almost every Pokémon game as a kid I would say I love the improvements and the style in which the game is heading. The way to catch Pokémon is much more realistic and fun. The battling style is the best as well I hated the turn based style of the past Pokémon games. And the way the moves of each Pokémon is displayed makes it more entertaining. I love how you can travel around with the pokemon by your side and the addition of alpha Pokémon.

A really enjoyable experience. The small map might turn some players away but it’s a very concentrated area with a lot to do. post game is especially fun once you get the shiny charm and DLC!

    Solid Fresh Feeling Pokemon Game

Excellent Pokemon game! Took me about 30-35 hours to beat the main story, including some time spent goofing off, and up to 60 hours overall. Story is top notch for the series. Gameplay feels fresh with the new real time combat system, but it still feels like Pokemon. I wish the city was a bit larger, but at the same time I never felt liked it really needed to be. Overall, an easy game to suggest for any Pokemon fan.

I really enjoy the game. Graphics are smooth compared to previous games, battles are seamless without delay (no cutscene), same catching mechanic as Arceus BUT you have one chance to catch a Pokémon after its HP hits zero (can still fail). Just remember, while moves can be used as many times as they want there is a cool down and if you throw a poke ball and it doesn't hit a Pokémon you can see the guy outside a Pokémon Center to get it back

    Mega time

Battles are noticeably more dynamic. Choosing when to Mega Evolve adds a tactical layer that rewards timing and team composition rather than brute force. Several Mega forms feel thoughtfully rebalanced, encouraging creative builds instead of relying on the same overused picks. Visually, Mega Evolutions look fantastic—flashy without overstaying their welcome—and the animations add real hype to key battles. That said, the system isn’t without its drawbacks. Mega Evolution can still feel uneven, with certain Pokémon clearly benefiting more than others. Some encounters are tuned heavily around Mega usage, making non-Mega strategies feel less viable in late-game content. While fun, the mechanic could have gone further with deeper integration into exploration or progression rather than being mostly battle-focused. Overall, Pokémon Z-A succeeds in making Mega Evolution feel meaningful and exciting again, even if it doesn’t fully realize its potential. It’s a satisfying step forward that rewards fans of competitive depth and spectacle—just shy of true greatness.

Ive now played through the entire game and its safe for me to say how great of an experience it was. The textures and details on the pokemon was amazing and the ive seen from a pokemon game and the new battle system is very different and a much needed breath of fresh air for turn based combat. Very entertaining story and i would recommend it to all my friends.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A feels fresh and exciting, especially on the Switch 2. The game runs smoothly, looks great, and exploring Lumiose City in this new way is really enjoyable. It keeps the Pokémon charm while adding new ideas that make it feel different. Definitely a must-play for Pokémon fans.

This Pokémon game on the Nintendo Switch 2 is a lot of fun. The visuals look great, gameplay feels smooth, and the open exploration adds a fresh twist to the series. Battles are engaging and it’s enjoyable for both longtime fans and new players. Highly recommended.

Fun new twist on a franchise that has needed a new jolt excitement. Gone away is the traditional turn based RPG to now of a more of a action RPG in a sense when controlling your Pokémon. Graphics still aren't amazing for a switch 2 game when compared to the switch 1 version. Game does run smoothly and load times are almost completely gone. Nice step in the direction for the Pokémon company and hopefully something they build on in the future.

Great game! I know this is the last we will see of this style before Gen 10 but the switch 2 really brought this game to life. The story is also so fun and I appreciate the smaller area. The open world concept for Scarlet and violet just didn’t work because they did not fill the world in. This one definitely was thought through before execution.

This game is trying to reinvent the pokemon gaming experience, and it largely succeeds. Really it's only shortcoming is the highly repetitive nature of all pokemon games, as well as the very small city map you get to explore. Hopefully future pokemon games won't need to be Switch 1 compatible and Gamefreaks can take greater risks with the game.

Typical pokemon experience. I really enjoyed the story and the gameplay. Catching pokemon is fun and refreshing. Battling feels new and exhilarating. The visuals are lackluster with nothing too impressive, but I appreciate the texture quality (for the most part) and frame rate on the Switch 2. Overall, I really enjoyed playing this game and will continue playing for the Pokédex completion and shiny charm!

Still playing this game since launch and just starting the DLC. It's not as addictive as previous titles but it's nice change in gameplay and plays smoothly on the Switch2. The playmat bonus from BB preorder has also been put to good use.

I really like what gamefreak did here as far as the battles go. It was so much fun usimg Pokémon in a more real-time battle. I have some small gripes about the setting, but it's really nice to see lumiose coty expanded so much compared to my first visit in Pokémon X and Y. Overall I think the game was a lot of fun and definitely worth a shot if it intrests you.
