Very different than the mainline games but sometimes that’s all that you need. Good first new Pokemon game available on the Nintendo switch 2

I give this game a 10/11 because it’s fun and probably the best switch 2 game out so far. There’s a lot of content to keep you busy and the new game play is fun. I haven’t beat the game yet but it does have a good story. The few things that I wish the developers added was giving another form of transportation like a bike or skateboard like in previous games though you can fast travel to previous places you’ve been to as well being able to fly with your pokemon like in legends arceus to get to the rooftops you want to get to a lot faster it would have made the game that much more fun. If you’ve played arceus and didnt like it give this game a shot the game has a lot more content and mega evolution definitely makes it more interesting and exciting. Also if the developers are thinking about making a 2nd dlc from the one is already out. Expand outside of lumious city to go to the snow area of kalos and cave areas also it needs lakes and or beaches because the game is missing Kingdra and lapras and also Gliscor. But overall it is great game for the new Nintendo Switch 2.

Pokémon AZ is not just a new Pokémon game, but a meticulously crafted experience that brings players back to the passion for exploration and combat that made the brand famous. This is definitely a game not to be missed for both longtime fans and new players.

I’ve been playing this game for awhile now, and even after completing the main story I am still finding new things to do! There are so many cute Pokemon to collect, and the new battle mechanic is so much more exciting than past Pokemon games! I love it, my only complaint is that i wish the map was bigger.

Despite what you read from people who haven't played the game, Legends ZA is a great addition. Lumiose City is a lot of fun to play through and the gameplay loop of the ZA Royale, Rogue Megas, side missions, and catching is a lot of fun. The Rogue Mega battles have been my favorite part!

Amazing game, people only hate because they expect better, but I have been hooked since I bought the game. Last time I played a Pokemon game was black and white and this game is amazing, yes it might be just a city and not open world but there is still a lot to explore and so far I have had a blast.

The last time I played Pokémon was about four years ago. I always buy Pokémon games because I grew up with them. But I really love this version because it’s different from the traditional style where you attack once and then wait to be hit before attacking again. In this game, if you’re fast enough and move around, you can attack two or three times before getting hit. I think this is the closest a game has come to what battles look like in the Pokémon cartoons. I absolutely love it.

Legends Z-A is fun, if you liked Arceus, you'll like this one. The battling system is different but overall it's the same battling Pokemon has always had.

Pokémon Legends Z-A is an incredible experience and a fantastic step forward for the franchise. The world feels alive, the graphics are beautiful, and exploring Lumiose City is exciting and immersive. The gameplay improvements make catching and battling Pokémon more dynamic and fun than ever. It brings a fresh feeling while still keeping the classic charm that fans love. Highly recommended for both new players and longtime Pokémon fans.

I wasn’t sure if I’d like this. The bland graphics didn’t help any in persuading me but the game play is really fun and I always loved mega evolutions. The story is also good, better than the average pokemon game. I’m pleasantly surprised very happy I pulled the trigger and bought it

We recently picked up a Pokémon game from Best Buy and it’s been an absolute delight. From the moment we started playing, the game felt vibrant and full of the classic Pokémon charm we all know and love. The graphics are colorful, the gameplay is smooth, and it’s just the right blend of nostalgic and fresh. We've had a lot of fun exploring new areas and catching a variety of Pokémon. Overall, it’s been a fantastic addition to our game collection, and we’d definitely recommend it to any Pokémon fan out there. Thanks to Best Buy for the easy purchase and for always having great selections!

I really enjoy the real time battle mechanics. It has a good story and greatly builds on the Mega-Evolution mechanics of Generation 6. My only major complaint is the online multiplayer is just a spam-fest of high powered attacks.

Great game with great new mechanics! Graphically it still looks like a switch game, and looks close to its predecessor Legends Arceus, but it does well to make the Pokemon and people feel much more lively. Catching is slightly more simple with less tools like smoke bombs and bait, but the new battle mechanics are amazing and exciting. Online battles are slightly more simple, but gives a smash brothers feel with a lot more of a welcoming for casuals system of scoring and strategy. I really love this game, it’s addicting and the constant danger creates a lot of memorable moments. Buy this more for the gameplay than the looks, but it does run smooth and load fast. Might be a bit more difficult at first for new and younger gamers but it’s a lot of fun and worth the effort to learn.

Compared to the last legends game, the map is incredibly small, environments leave much to be desired, and while the new battle system is fun the lack of pokemon abilities is yet another mind boggling omission. But if your a die hard pokemon fan like me you can't miss a single game anyways.

great graphics, story and gameplay. some pokemon, features and story are gated behind a DLC so prepare that this extra expense will likely be needed

I have always been a fan of the older regions so I'm always a little skeptical when Pokemon releases a new game. I was worried that the difficulty would be too easy since that's the trend of games nowadays. I would say that the game did have some difficult moments like against alpha pokemon and rogue mega evolutions. But it was easy otherwise. I will say - do not train your pokemon over the level cap. I had trained my Lucario to be level 81 and he kept on disobeying over and over again. It wasn't too bad though. I just expected to be able to use him since I already caught him pre level 80. The battle mechanics kept me interested in the game. I caught every pokemon except for legendaries and the tradable ones.

Very fun game for any pokemon fan. Good refresh from the traditional turn based games. Minimal bugs to the game and a step up from the gaming mechanics of previous legends game. Fun to play with one of the better stories Ive seen in a while.

Gameplay plays very similar to Legends: Arceus instead of the main Pokemon series. Performance is a step-up compared to previously released Pokemon games on the Switch (Scarlet/Violet and Sword/Shield. Game brings back mega evolutions with new and old additions.

I got this game on release day and ever since I've been playing it almost daily. I love the gameplay loop and the story was really good. I would definitely recommend picking up this new pokemon game

ordering from best buy was so easy! ready to be picked up super fast, show up, show email, and enjoy! Game is great. definitely a different take on battling. Wish there was voice acting. Otherwise, great game!
