It has a decent battle system with solid mechanics and smoother pacing than expected. The combat feels responsive, and there’s enough tactical depth to keep encounters engaging. However, the map design is a major disappointment. The environments feel flat and repetitive, with poor layout flow and limited meaningful exploration. Overall, while the battles are serviceable, the weak world design significantly holds the experience back.

A surprising revisit to the Legends formula for Pokemon. Somehow manages to make the small city from X and Y feel miles larger with unique game mechanics and vibrant characters. Though some of the mechanics in end game were a little frustrating, still a decent pokemon game overall.

Love everything Pokemon and this game scratched that itch I was feeling for a new game, I swear I can quit anytime...

Game plays amazing and overall is a ton of fun. Shiny grinding is back and better than ever. Would highly recommend

Breath of fresh air into the Pokémon franchise... Still gollows the ledgends franchise of the series but adds in some cool new (and old) mechanics that makes me excited for the future of this "spin off" series. Great game and a must for fans of the Pokémon series especially those who have played games tied to Lumiose city.

This is probably the best Pokemon game I've played since the DS era. The new battle system was really engaging and the characters in the story were fun to interact with. The world could have had more to do in it and I miss exploration in Pokemon games. Plus for a premium $70 product, the graphics were still fairly subpar.

I have a love for Pokemon and have been playing for years. I love a lot of the new ideas with the game but I do wish they would have allowed items to evolve trade only Pokemon like in Legends Arceus. However I do believe the game is a bit overpriced and the fact you need to get DLC for all the Mega evolutions is concerning with where the developers are taking the game.

I bought this game for my girlfriend and she loves it. I watched her play for hours and the new (new to me) mechanics are great. It’s not immediately clear which Pokémon from which versions are available, but that’s something we could Google if we really wanted to know. The only drawback is that it costs $70. Wowzers!

Love this new game in the Legends series. The battle system is amazing. Challenges and battle zones incentivize getting all Pokemon and attempting to get shiny Pokemon keeps you coming back for more. Love that in addition to the main story missions there are tons of side missions.

This game is perfect for any pokemon fan. Fun for all ages adults can enjoy playing the main storyline and children can explore the entire city on their own while having fun! Lots to do especially research tasks and side missions as well as main story line.

It's one of the first non-main line games that I've played and it pays off really really well. Great story, fantastic dynamics with the player immersed battle mechanics, and a very solid amount of gameplay (took around 50 hours to pokedex + story). Best review I can leave is that I'm planning on getting the DLC!

Good game. I wouldn't mind having this battle system in future games going forward. The story was a little boring for most of the game but the finale made up for it in my mind. The cast of characters outside of the main characters were interesting and I wish we interacted with them more.

Heard a lot of negative things about the game, but I decided to give it an unbiased chance and actually really enjoyed the gameplay. It does leave you wanting to explore more outside of the city, though. Would recommend you giving it a chance and not letting others form your oppion for you.

Overall I love the new battle mechanic in this pokemon game. It is very refreshing to see after having the same mechanics over the years. I will say that the art of this game has been really shoddy and i wish that the world was more open. It would have been ideal if it had a world like pokemon sword and shield, but the battle mechanics from this game.

AMAZING GAME. Been a big fan of Pokemon my whole life and this just helps feed that pokemon itch I have. Very impressive for this game to have the whole world loaded at once and run really well. The combat is very fun and new and engaging. The worst quality of this game is the textures of buildings is very low. But all in all there’s a lot to do and explore

Pokemon has done it again! This game is so much fun and full of new mechanics! The battles change from turn based to real time, which was rather fun because you feel like you’ve jumped into the anime! There are a bunch of new interesting mega forms as well as the same fun Pokemon you’ve known! Definitely recommend for all Pokemon fans!

I thought this game was pretty fun and entertaining! I was a little skeptical of the idea that this would all be in just 1 city but between the wild zones and side quests not to mention the overall story of the game I find myself really enjoying my time playing Legends ZA!

It is a novel take on the pokemon world and experience. You don't follow gym battles and world exploration. You navigate Lumiose City and progress through a storyline with a main quest line filled with optional quests. The battling is unique. Seeing pokemon out and about and be catchable is cool. I'm not a fan of mega evolutions or those battles. Not a fan of the limited character customization.
