Great game with an incentive battle system take for Pokemon

Game is fun, battling is different than other Pokemon games, which is a nice refresh from the formula. I won't talk about the shipping, since that was Pre-Order (For Best Buy and some feedback: Don't ship the Pre-Order Bonus before the actual game next time.)

Good game and would of given it 5 stars but I preordered this game 2 months before it came out was supposed to get the mousepad bonus and never got it and was told my order didn’t have one even though I had the email

This game is very fun. The new battle mechanics are fresh and fun, but still rely heavily on knowing your type match ups. Worth trying for any pokemon fan.

While I did enjoy myself with this game overall, my biggest complaint is the never ending battles. I'm sure you're thinking, that's the point of Pokémon, but I felt they were excessive. You not only have battles within the main story but nearly every side quest is also a battle. I would still recommend for fans of the series to play this entry.

Game is mostly fun, but there is very little to do after the main story. There is a lack of extra areas or rewards that you earn for doing all the side quests or collecting all the pokemon. Feels like they held back to sell the rest as DLC

The game is fun overall, it’s just lacking in the graphics and exploration areas. Maybe the game could have had a vibrant city with lots of tasks to do, similar to Grand Theft Auto V, another game that takes place in one city. Also the graphics are same from sword and shield lol.

Great game, absolutely love it. If your bored of the traditional Pokémon experience this is a great change of pace!

This game is a true masterpiece! Feels good to be back in Lumiose City. I’ve enjoyed this game so far and have put in countless hours since date of launch gathering items and collecting Pokémon. Love the wild zones and how the expand as you rank up!

Great game just getting use to the new battle format

Its a great game, wish it was more open like Arceus.

I wasn’t sure if I’d like this. The bland graphics didn’t help any in persuading me but the game play is really fun and I always loved mega evolutions. The story is also good, better than the average pokemon game. I’m pleasantly surprised very happy I pulled the trigger and bought it

Very happy with this purchase! I got this for my son's Birthday and he absolutely loves playing it! I am so glad I chose to buy it through Best Buy. We have received an awesome Pokemon Mat. I definitely would recommend Best Buy and this game!

Ive put over 80 hours in and enjoyed every bit of it. Love the new real time combat. Its not a perfect pokemon game but its getting closer. Hopefully the next game is switch 2 only since i feel this game was held back a little on grafics due to being a cross gen release.

decent game, visually quite disappointing though. but the gameplay loop is interesting enough. think i prefer the old turn-based combat, but i dont mind them switching it up and trying something new for a game.

Game takes place in the city, feels odd catching pokemon only in small sections of the city. Makes exploring restricted and confined compared to the original 3DS game the region its based on. But everything else is ok, if you can get this game at a lower price.

solid pokemon game. I enjoy mega evolutions, open world, shiny hunting. biggest dislike is sometimes the opposing pokemon will focus on attacking you instead of attacking your pokemon that's attacking them. overall enjoyed the game.

It's a good pokemon game! Exploring the city is rewarding, the pokemon variety is delightful, and the characters are fun. There's some noticeable pop-in if playing on the switch 1, but performance is better on the 2. Overall I've been really enjoying playing it!
