Pokemon Legends Z-A
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great game, lots of trainer battles, battles are in real time now which is really fun, takes about 40-45 hours to finish the main story, which is the average length of Pokemon games, boss battles are really fun, you can use in game collectable items called colorful screws to buy plushes that give you permanent boosts like experience boost and easier Pokemon catch rates, those two are the best boosts, the other few aren't as useful, there are also tasks you complete in the game like catching different amount of each type of Pokemon in the game or battling trainers, which unlocks rewards like TMs and other random items and you have to complete all the tasks to get the shiny charm which doesn't help with anything good in the game other than making it easier to find shiny Pokemon, by the time you complete all the tasks you already caught all the Pokemon in the game, overall this is a great game and I highly recommend the game.

Fun game but please have some voice acting!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.TLDR the game is enjoyable and fun!! It's definitely still a pokemon game but the live battle system is a fresh experience and the characters are quirky but I enjoy that. Only thing that the game really needs is voice acting for the more detailed cutscenes. Without it the silence is deafening.

Rough around edges, but a fun ride all around
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While definitely having rough spots, mainly some of the visuals and map size, this game provided me with an extremely fun and exiting adventure. The new battle system is incredibly fun, and the ranked online provides for endless enjoyment.

Great New Take on Pokemon
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Honestly was a bit nervous with the deviation this game took from the mainline games. This was a refreshing surprise, the game runs smooth & is full of character. The texture being pasted on the side of some buildings (vs actually being there) isn’t a big deal. The battle style is so fun, I took my time with the playthrough - exploring everything. They made a lot with a “smaller” map (city grid). The only problem I did have was needing 1,000 battles to get the shiny charm. Hopefully it’s a lot less in the future but shiny hunting is still super fun.

Monotonous side quests but excellent combat and MP
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The graphics won't impress on a technical level, but the art style of the Paris-like "Lumiose City," which houses most of the game's setting, still does a good job of picking up the French atmosphere that this game's predecessors, Pokémon X and Y, did a beautiful job of showcasing a decade ago. I thought Violet had a more emotional story, but I found these characters generally likeable, with a main plot that could have been slightly shorter but didn't really wear out its welcome as much as I expected from the central tournament, even if I thought the story didn't really get interesting until it neared its ending. The real-time combat is the star of the show, with its emphases on reflexes and positioning, even if the game believes this a little too much, with some optional side quests having extremely high quotas for number-of-battle completions. I'm glad to be able to talk to random NPCs again, unlike in Violet where this wasn't often the case, but it would have been nice for most building interiors to be explorable - here, offices and residential areas just feel like decorations. Even most stores simply open up a menu instead of showing you their insides, with a small selection of restaurants being one of the game's few exceptions. The "fashion shop" music returns from X and Y, but while there are plenty of clothing options, those stores don't have interiors either. The online multiplayer, the highlight of the game, mostly focuses on its ranked mode, a four-player arena where each competitor brings three Pokémon. Matches are timed, not dependent on which person has all of their Pokémon faint first. Instead of this being a simple and potentially unbalanced 1-on-1 format, the emphasis on scoring instead of on elimination helps the ranked multiplayer feel more fun and less "sweaty" / obsessively detail-focused than I would have expected. The underlying party planning still feels almost as deep as the main games, minus the lack of passive abilities. Crucially the frame rate in this mode has generally been quite good, which is more than I'll say for some parts of the single-player post-game content where I'm taking on several minor side tasks at once. If you're willing to accept a number of technical compromises, I do love the game itself.

Fun Game to Come Home To Play
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of my favorite games on the Switch. It has been really relaxing and enjoyable to me after playing it for already a few months. There is a lot to do and the storyline actually has me hooked! I really love all the characters in this game as well as the selected Pokémon and Mega Evolutions.

Change can be good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I see reviews being mixed on this game and let me explain why. Alot of those who play grew up with the originals are use to that older type of gameplay. This game is much more different but in a good way, change can sometimes be good. The mechanics are easy to learn, graphics look great, the story is fun. I am having a blast with this game, so much to do and learn with all your favorite pokemons.

Great story
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My son and I enjoy the game. I love exploring the city, and parkouring. I love the open pokemon battle style, it’s fun. The con is that, “sneaking” up on trainers is really easy even with an alpha pokemon in plain site about to attack the opponent. Haha. My son absolutely enjoys it, and enjoys some of the new mega. The storyline is great, can’t wait for the expansion

Pokemon ZA
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ive finished the main story of the game and played about 40 hours. I’ve enjoyed most of it including the new battle system, character customization and return of mega evolutions. The story is very repetitive for a while and the tutorial is painfully long. However, once you get into the main story it becomes more of an enjoyable experience. Don’t forget to do the side quests! There are a lot of fun ones.

My Review of Pokemon Legends ZA
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I the game is fun, like that the Pokemon battles are dynamic and in real time. I like that the game includes new Mega Evolutions and has Alpha pokemon in it. That the megastones are rather easy to obtain, the game has engaging quests and it is easy to navigate the city.

Best Pokemon game in years
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A great game. Provides a stronger and more interactive battle system. Gotta Catch them All!
|Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Even though the battle mechanics are different, it’s refreshing to see something new that was inspired by Arceus and Scralet/Violet. The filling in the Poké Dex is still fun with old and new Mega Evolutions! Also the story is enjoyable with references of the previous Pokemons games (character & lore)!

Worth the buy for Poké fans
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've enjoyed my playthrough of Pokémon Z-A. I've been a long time fan of Pokémon. The new mechanics were a good shake up of the old battle system. My main complaint would be I miss being able to travel through a whole region instead of just one big map. Otherwise, I would recommend this game to other Pokémon fans.

Pokemon Z-A is Fun!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a Pokemon fan of many years, I was skeptical about this style of game. I did not play the previous Legends game, but the vast character customization options (and therefore the ability to design your character like a gym leader) was honestly the reason I decided to give this game a chance. I was pleasantly surprised! The mechanics are fun. Different, but fun. I’d say it’s one of the easier games in the series, but there is so much to do in the game that I didn’t run out of objectives or tire of catching Pokemon. The “calming rogue mega evolution pokemon” plot was a little reminiscent of the old Pokemon Colosseum game. Pros: Multiple side quests, fun story, mega-evolutions, extensive character customization, shiny pokemon are easier to find and more common, alpha pokemon are challenging and fun to collect Cons: Graphics are underwhelming, the “wild zones” aren’t big enough, the map as a whole could have been a lot bigger than one singular city, some mega evolutions locked behind DLC.

Best Pokemon Game In Years
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Legends Z-A was the most fun I’ve had with a Pokemon game since Legends Arceus. The story was surprisingly very good and exploring Lumiose City was much more fun than expected considering the entire game takes place there.

Pokemon Legends ZA
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really good game! The game play is pretty good and the wild areas are nice but could be better. The thing I love the most is the battle me set up, it’s not turned base like it has been in previous games

This game is a blast!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is really fun for Pokemon fans. It plays really well on the switch 1. However, some parts are boring and tedious. The game is really easy, though the boss battles offer a good challenge.
