This game would be great with a real coop system or Laval battles.

I tried to give this game a chance knowing it would be different from the traditional releases on portable handhelds. It is just too basic. It might be enjoyable for newcomers to the series but its just Pokemon Go on Switch. No real RPG elements, no depth in the game.

The game was ok but it and the awful Switch system is missing basic features which takes away from the experience.

I would love to provide a review but my delivery is delayed with no estimated date. This was ordered 13 days before Christmas to allow plenty of time. Now I will need to get an alternative gift since Christmas hasn't been delayed. Maybe actually deliver the item when originally promised before asking for a review.

Alright so I'll admit; after coming from Pokemon: Sword/Shield to Let's Go: Eevee, it was an adjustment and I was not super into the game at first. The throwing style threw me off which also encouraged me to never play with the switch connected to the TV and only play handheld. The storyline seemed more meant for children but after beating the first two gyms, I got more into it. I loved the classic 150 Pokemon that you're able to catch (even though about 20 of those you have to find someone online to trade with you because they're only exclusive to the Pikachu version, I suggest Reddit), and the graphics were amazing especially on the OLED switch. I loved the close relationship that you develop with Eevee and that you can pet it and give it treats. The gyms get especially harder so you do need to know your types and what they are weak/strong against. I loved being able to catch Mewtwo in the end but wish that Poke Ball Plus(es) that originally came with the game weren't such a rare item and so expensive to come by these days because you can't obtain Mew as a mystery gift anymore. There is a solid storyline after beating the Elite Four and I ESPECIALLY love that you can ride around on Charizard/Dragonite/Aerodactyl, it's loads of fun and makes traveling way quicker. Overall, once you get into the game it is loads of fun and I can honestly say that I enjoyed this game as much as Sword and Shield. Now to wait for Gen. 9 to come out at the end of 2022...

Die-hard Pokemon fan, I grew up with the games and have always had a special place in my heart and life for the franchise. After seeing this release, but having not played any Pokemon games since Poke Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire for the 3DS (due to income and not having the systems) I was genuinely excited about this title release. Went into it with no real idea what the experience of the game was going to end up like, only knowing that the catching method was similar to Pokemon Go... I was lightly hesitant that since it was a Switch release it would be toned down quite a bit from the regular release titles... That wasn't ENTIRELY the case and I was pretty happy with how the game wound up playing. The experience is every so lightly toned down from the 3DS games- with catching being non-battle induced, catching being more in-line with Pokemon Go, Pokemon having not abilities, and the presence of HMs having been removed. But, the game was still really enjoyable. And as someone who didn't play Red/Blue/etc on the GBA it was really neat to get to experience the general story outline on the Switch.

    A Great Kanto Journey!

A game being able to make someone smile and bring joy through the majority of the gameplay is pretty incredible. Pokemon Let’s Go captured the essence of Pokemon and what it would feel like to be a Pokemon trainer. My first Pokemon game was Red version, and I grew up with gen 1, especially watching the Pokemon anime often. So this game took me on a nostalgic trip I wouldn’t soon forget. Pokemon Let’s Go deserves a rating of 9 out of 10. Very fun game, kid and family friendly. Its a great game that the family can play together with no fighting. My kid loves walking with pokemon around towns and interacting with it. She prefers it to the DS/3DS games as its easier and more interactive. For me its a good game, but I prefer the core game mechanics but it is a fun family game to play with my daughter.

A Great Pokémon Game For Everyone

Like many people I was excited that Pokémon was coming to the Switch. Now that I own the game I think that it was worth it. Seeing the improvements gets me excited for the core series game coming in 2019. It's a great way to experience Pokémon for the first time or re-visit Kanto in a whole new way.

My kids love the Pokemon franchise and this game brings the franchise to life on the Nintendo Switch. The only issue I see with the game is that it can seem quite repetitive, but the kids don't seem to mind.

    Too expensive, not great gameplay

The controllers update on the switch are a bit annoying (I prefer using both controllers and having the console connected to the tv - when not placed on the console, the default controller is to use only ONE of them). Also after a couple of hours in, it is quite repetitive and the synch with pokemon go fails quite a lot. There is also a bunch of scenes that are just black screen with dialog, I know that cuts resources, but they used this approach way too much. I would say “buy if u are pokemon fanatic” but if u are not, it is not worth it.

It was a solid cute game that my girlfriend played the crap out of. This was our first Pokémon game since the game boy advanced days. I didn’t remember how annoying hitting every Pokémon in the bushes was. But we still had lots of fun and now the bush Pokémon are just part of our memories.
