My kids like the Pokemon games. This is very similar but better due to the graphics on the Switch. Also they can play it on the big tv screen instead of the little 3DS screen. The Pokeball plus is nice but gets old quickly. My kids got this for Christmas and have gone back to using just the A button to throw the ball. I have it 4 stars because of the price and I don't think the Pokeball Plus warrants the additional price.

    REIMAGINED GLORY

NOTE: Do not believe metacritic reviews or any websites where this game has been getting review bombed. I have over 50 hours logged and have played Pokemon since Red, Blue, and Yellow on the first Gameboy. It is a REIMAGINED version of yellow, not REMASTERED. There are tons of trainer battles, and the wild encounters are better this time. You don't battle them, you see the pokemon in the grass and approach to catch it like in Pokemon Go which is more real anyways. THERE ARE STILL WILD BATTLES! Every Snorlax, the 3 legendary birds, and some Electrodes in Power Plant are traditional wild battles. Defeat the pokemon, then catch as usual like Go. This is an amazing show of love for pokemon fans and anyone bashing it has not played it and is upset that we have to wait for Gen 8. THIS GAME IS WONDERFUL DON'T BELIEVE THE REVIEW BASHERS WHO HAVE NOT EVEN TOUCHED THE GAME!

This game is very fun and addictive. You can spend hours playing without even noticing. The pokeball add-on makes the game more exciting when catching Pokémon. This game is great all around but can easily get boring once you beat the main storyline.

Comes with the game and the poke ball plus accessory. The game is really fun with a new twist. The game definitely sticks to its original roots/ style of gameplay. The new features are a welcomed addition. The poke ball gets you an in-game Mew.

I really love the game personally, though it might not be for everyone. Try a demo 1st to see if you like it. The bundle saves me a couple of bucks, as I really wanted to get the pokeball plus. Works great with the game and also pokemon go.

This pokemon game is different than the regular core series. It has the pokemon mechanics for interacting/catching wild pokemon. Which I think is actually fun. Its actually not that easy to catch them too. Other than catching wild pokemon…. everything else in the game practically the same as any pokemon game. The whole game is dumb down a lot, BUT that's only because this game is meant to bring in new players. Nintendo is marketing this game to newer players. This is not marketed for the players already accustomed to the previous games! GIVE IT A TRY! Just knowing this is a fun Pokémon game, I can tell the actual core series next year will be AMAZING!

This is a great fun game. The catching mechanics are based off the mobile pokemon go game where you toss a pokeball when you encounter them, versus battling each one. And if you are in the mood of battling, don't worry, because there are people throughout who will constantly challenge you. The Pokeball is great! It's fun and very cool. There's a lot of tech and if you also play the mobile Pokemon Go, this will work with that game as well for tracking your steps and catching pokemon. instructions to linking the device is a little lacking, so resort to online tutorials. I do wish it had more buttons, and that it was just a bit larger, but then it wouldn't look like pokeball, and we all have different size hands, so i get it, one size. Great game and if you're a fan this would be a great purchase.

This game is a remake of Pokemon Yellow and it does some things great and most things not so great. Pros: > It's a nostalgia fest. if for some reason you love gen 1, this is for you. > Riding Pokemon: you can ride select Pokemon and late game you can fly higher up over buildings and stuff on select Pokemon. > Wild Pokemon now appear in the overworld instead of in grass. > Pokemon GO connectivity is seamless and super easy to use. > Pokeball Plus is fantastic and the whole game can be played with just that controller. It's the closest thing we have to an actual Pokeball. Cons: > Gen 1 only. This game does not include any Pokemon past gen 1 aside from Meltan/Melmetal which are technically Gen 7 Pokemon, but are considered part of the Kanto Dex. > Abilities are gone. > Hold items are gone. > Quick-mapping is gone (you can't map items/techniques to buttons like in previous games) > Pokemon Movesets have been altered to include less attacks from newer generations. > Gyms cannot be entered until certain requirements have been met. Overall: this game is fun, enjoyable, and a breeze to get through. Its target audience is clearly younger folk and it feels more like a tech demo for Gen 8 next year. This is a unique way to send off Gen 7 of Pokemon and it does great on showing what is possible for the series on new hardware.

A great game for hard and casual fans. It streamlines lot of Pokemon but keeps the core fun. Catching all the Pokemon in a horde is a lot of the . The pokeball plus is a fun addition for this game and for Pokemon go.

The gameplay is a lot of fun and the ability to dress up Eevee adds even more! I also love the Pokéball controller, and the way it can also be used as a “GoPlus” for the Pokémon Go app. Definitely recommended!

A very fun Pokemon game for newcomers and veterans alike. The game is definitely tailored more for new players but as a fan of Pokemon since Red Version I still had a lot of fun revisiting Kanto in 3D. It was fun to only have to worry about catching the original 151. At first I was disappointed at the lack of battling wild Pokemon, but the combo chain system was really fun for training and searching for rare Pokemon. Also the battle system is back to basics. Pokemon do not have abilities and they cannot hold items. Again, initially that bothered me, but by the end of my time with the game it wasn't something I thought about. The Pokeball Plus accessory was really fun to play with, even with having larger hands it was easy to hold and control. Sometimes the accuracy didn't seem spot on but it wasn't a common occurrence and didn't ruin the over all gameplay. Its also a nice accessory to have if you play Pokemon Go. Overall, I think this game is a great introduction to the world of Pokemon. I think veterans of the series can still have fun if they go into the game with an open mind. But if the casual mechanics aren't for them, there is always the next official mainline title coming out sometime next year!

Easy and fun for the kids. Similar gameplay to Pokemon Go app for the phone. Poke ball controller is ok. Maybe if the string was a bit longer then it would make you feel like you’re throwing the poke ball.

You know, I thought the Pokeball plus was stupid and very gimmicky at first, but honestly it doesn't feel good to play this game any other way. It feels and looks great and the game was well made as well.

The game: The Let's Go is a fantastic, streamlined entry to the Pokemon series. As a long time fan, I loved the journey back to Kanto seeing team Rocket, Blue, Misty, and everyone else. The lack of wild encounters while frustrating for some made catching pokemon and leveling them very relaxing. Chaining Pokemon for bonuses is legitimately fun. One drawback is the difficulty is little low, but keeping your partner Pokemon out of your battle pokemon does up the difficulty. The pokeball: Certainly adds to the immersion experience. Works fluidly. Can cause your hand to cramp a little after really extended play sessions. Also a huge plus with it's Pokemon GO integration if you play. Don't forget Mew either!

If you've played Pokemon, you know what to expect. The major differences for Let's Go are the absence of random encounters and the ability to interact with your partner Pokemon. Random encounters have been replaced with the Pokemon now appearing on the map instead and in place of battling them, there's a catching minigame. Interacting with your partner Pokemon, Pikachu or Eevee respectively is a blast and greatly enhances the experience for me. Overall, it's a familiar experience with some new quirks that freshen the experience. How much you like it really hinges on how much you enjoy the changes that were made. For me, it was a nice nostalgia trip with a chance to interact with one of my favorite Pokemon.

We are back in the Kanto region, but it feels so fresh for 2018. I cannot believe it has been 20 years since these game first game out in America, and now we finally have a console Pokemon RPG at our fingertips! The battle system is streamlined to that of Pokemon Go against wild Pokemon, which really speeds up the overall grind of the game, but battles are still fought versus actual trainers. The Pokeball Plus can be paired with both Pokemon Go and Hey You Eevee, making things even easier! If you are looking to relive the Kanto Pokemon adventures, or have never experienced them before, Hey You Eevee and Pikachu are the right place to be now!
