It is definitely a good game to introduce someone to the Pokemon series. If you are buying it for nostalgic factor, it is also a good game still. However, if you are a bit more set on the traditional Pokemon style (weaken Pokemon for capture), it may not be your cup of tea.

Was skeptical at first didn’t think I’d like it being a fan of the older games and ended up enjoying this

It’s a remake of the original. But it is beautifully redone, and the ball controller is a lot of fun!

The remake is beautiful but I did not like the catching mechanics in this version.

Although a few of the mechanics have been dumbed down a bit, Let's Go is still a ton of fun especially for long time Pokemon fans. The experience is only made better by the Pokeball Plus accessory which makes the process of catching a Pokemon infinitely more enjoyable.

And it succeeds in my book, the change in some of the core mechanics might turn some of, but I'd you are looking for something wholesome and just heartwarming this game will hook you. The Eevee partner you very is a bit overpowered, but had a lot of character to it.

This is a completely different Pokemon experience. It takes the Kanto region you know and love, and adds the catching mechanism of Pokemon Go. You can avoid all those annoying Zubat encounters now that Pokemon appear in the overworld! It was a pretty fun game.

Pokemon let's go is a reskin of the old Pokémon blue/red/yellow of decades ago but slimmed down. It is a great way to get new players into the Pokémon world as the game play is simplified and less challenging by taking out the need to grind for experience. With Pokémon shield and sword coming out late 2019, I would recommend waiting for that game

While essentially just a remake of Pokemon Yellow, they have added so much polish that it is a delight to revisit the Kanto Region. I also do prefer the GO catching mechanics rather than the traditional random battle, weaken, and then catch. Bought the Poke Ball Plus, but find the game is best played in handheld mode. I would recommend just buying the game unless you want the Poke Ball for PGO or just as a collectible.

Eeeve wasn't ever your companion before this game but it is a charming as all the rest. It is the original trio of gameboy games but with a new era of graphics. The game overall is much simpler and "Easier" to enjoy, but brought with it alot of wonderful memories. 4/5 though because the game has alot of issues connecting with your phone which was another way for kids to interact with their pokemon go accounts.

My children have been wanting this game since it came out. I purchased it as a gift for them & they love it! It comes with the poke ball controller that also stores the pokemon from the phone game. I myself do not play the game but they both love it.

I definitely was not excited about this game. I loved Eevee so I decided to get it and it's amazing. As long as the "Go" aspect of battling wild pokemon isn't made a permanent feature I am fine with it. Having living pokemon in game with you is great.

The nostalgia trip was real on this one. For anyone who isn't aware, this is Pokemon Yellow (so Blue & Red) reimagined with Pokemon Go capture mechanics. If you liked Pokemon as a kid, or you have kids who love Pokemon, don't even think twice.
