I was very hesitant to purchase this game but am extremely pleased. There are no wild pokemon battles. Those got replaced with the Pokemon Go mechanics, however there are hundreds of trainers along your path for full Pokemon battling. Very good.

As a player of the original Pokémon games, playing this game was a complete revival of childhood experiences—with much better graphics.

Wish you could get a choice of starter instead of just having to buy a game that marries you to just that one choice or buy another to make a different choice. Classic Pokémon fun though!

So much fun! Just like the old game boy games for the most part. Loved the nostalgia.

If you remember playing Pokemon Red/Yellow, this is essentially that game, but upgraded. The graphics and colors are vibrant, playing in handheld mode isn't too bad, you can play with another person... and it incorporates Pokemon Go. You see Pokemon before interacting with them. If you're targeting a specific type then it's so much easier. There's still a bit of a grind, but nowhere close to what it once was. It's a fun game that anyone could pick up. It's the same game, but with some tweaks. Definitely love this game.

An easy portable game for Nintendo Switch which is able to engage the pre-teen while not overwhelming them with violence.

With over 200 hours played so far and no end in sight, this is one of my favorite Pokemon games in a long time. As a remake of the original, this HD Remaster replaces traditional Pokemon catching mechanics with the more user friendly catching mechanics of Pokemon Go. At first I was afraid that I would miss traditional fights, but the game adds more trainers and the mix keeps me from ever becoming tired of battling. This is a true must buy for fans of the series as well as the perfect entry point for new comers.

Pikachu is my favorite pokemon! I absolutely love playing this game. It is a good spin on the original gameboy game.

When I was a kid I played Pokémon Red on my Gameboy, this game brings back those memories with a new twist of Pokémon Go catching.

This game is a remake of the pokemon red/blue and it definitely delivers on the nastaolgia factor , the game is super easy and is done so on purpose. I recommend buying the pokeball plus accessory.
