This is still pokemon, so not let the new catching mechanic turn you off from the game. This is still Pokemon Yellow with new updates to the HM system. It lacks a solid online component but the single player is still solid.

I thought my kids would love this. They're fanatical about Pokemon cards and cartoons. This game has gotten marginal playing time though. They're way more into the Mario games.

My boyfriend played and played for hours on end. It has good visuals and is a blast to collect all the pokemon.
