Highly recommend! Hours of good, fun entertainment!

I played original yellow when it was released. This is a great game. Battles feel good graphics are awesome. I wasnt sure at first either after hearing how the game changed more towards Pokemon! Go. It's a great change and adds fun to the game, adds the ability to increase pokemon levels on the search for shiny pokemon. Give it a try your self. I think you'll like it more. It eliminates one of the layers of rng so you dont waste time searching for specific pokemon. This is a 9/10 game for me personally.

it's a great ol' video game that's a great ol' time

As always with every iteration of a Pokemon game, the end quality is high and well-polished. This game harks back to the day of Pokemon Yellow, albeit with a few changes. With the latest 3D graphics we've seen for other Nintendo Switch Pokemon games, this is a wonderful reimagining of an original game. However, what has warranted a 2 star review is a core gameplay decision that has ensured I won't play this again. When you encounter wild Pokemon in this game, you no longer battle them and then catch them. Instead, you only have the option to catch them. Anyone who has played Pokemon Go will be very familiar with this system. And while it is developed well - including the feature to use the joycon as a virtual Pokeball that you "throw" - removing the option to battle, for me at least, is removing a very core feature of the Pokemon RPG franchise. Some may love this game (I personally love Pokemon Go), but others who are looking for a modernized slice of nostalgia should look elsewhere.

I recently bought this game for my brothers girlfriend, and she always was the one that was sorta into pokemon. If it was in tv then she would watch it, but she wouldnt be waiting to watch. Basically if it was on, she would watch it. But anyways, she absolutely loves it. Very great game and very satisfied with the game!

I absolutely love this game. It reminds me of the older Pokemon games, which is great because I miss playing them. I also can't get over how cool it is to be able to play it both handheld and on TV. I just got the Pokeball Plus, so I'm sure I'll fall even more in love with it. Definitely pick up if you're a Pokemon fan!
