Love the game, but prefer the originals. Game doesn’t allow you to level up by fighting in the wild. Only catching more Pokémon which requires a lot of poke balls which you have to earn a lot of money for. Eventually you get short on money and there’s not to many events to continue doing after your at a certain point.

    Pokemon Nostalgia

I remember getting Pokemon Blue for Gameboy and watching the first episode of the Pokemon anime way back when and this game takes me right back to those times. Pokemon Let's Go takes us back to a remastered version of the original Pokemon games with new co-op game play and mechanics from the Pokemon GO mobile game. The graphics and music are wonderful and I've enjoyed playing it with my family.

I wanted to play something like Pokemon Yellow. And this is exactly it. It obviously has newer effects and graphics but everything is the same. I was afraid when i read about leveling up pokemon and throwing the pokeballs. But really it's not that bad! It's still easy to level up your pokemon. Definitely recommend. Still not sure how I feel about the Sword and Shielf coming out soon.

Brings me back to my childhood with Pokemon Yellow

This game is what my childhood brain imagined Pokemon on the GameBoy Color would look like if the game was 3D and a lot more immersive. It's a fun pokemon game that brings us back to the Kanto region where we get to relive Pokemon as it once was, but now with some different mechanics that I wholeheartedly support. I love the game. If you like Pokemon, do yourself a favor and pick this up.

    A good upgrade

The pokemon series has finaly come to upgrade to the semi console instead of traditional 3ds games. The graphics are upgrade compare to the limitation of the 3ds hardware. The only complaint I have with this game is the pokemon go capturing system specially if you dont have the pokeball controller. Its kind wonky and you will miss a lot of pokeballs if you are using your regular controler

    Let’s Go Pikachu vs. Evie

My son received, and had asked for Let’s Go Evie as a Birthday gift. When his friend got Let’s Go Pikachu he received a copy as well. While some of the characters are different (and not available on both games), the game itself is similar. My kid is happy and insistent that the games are different enough that he wants both. However, from a consumer perspective it seems like a shameless way for Nintendo to utilize a ploy to sell the same game twice but capitalizing on a kid’s wish to “catch em all.” Ugh. I would recommend in order to placate a child since they will like it. As a parent buying the game, I would stick with one.

I purchased this game for my nephew for his recently purchased Switch so he could experience Pokemon for the first time. I have personally played one version of each generation, including the remakes such as this one. The Kanto pokemon will hit your nostalgia if you played Red and Blue back in the day on the Game Boy Color.

Nostalgia! It's hard to beat walking through the Kanto region with Switch graphics. The game is enjoyable, no surprise, as it's a remake of the best generation of the games. The one drawback, in my opinion, is how they changed the training mechanics. If you can get past that, it's almost as good as it gets.

I enjoyed playing through Pokemon Yellow again in this remake. This is the first Kanto Pokemon game released post-Gen IV physical/special split, which opens up a lot of previously non-viable pokemon and gives this game a unique feel. My one complaint is that Silph Co. and Cerulean Cave were grossly simplified which took away from the satisfaction in the later half of the game.

This is a remake of Pokémon Yellow version from the GameBoy and is actually quite nice, pleasant, relaxing to play. Pick this up if you need a Pokémon fix. It's link to Pokémon Go (the phone game) is quite cool too and you can get an exclusive Pokémon called Meltan when you transfer monsters. Let's Go becomes a kind of 'storage' for the iPhone/Android app and that is great too.
