Nostalgia! It's hard to beat walking through the Kanto region with Switch graphics. The game is enjoyable, no surprise, as it's a remake of the best generation of the games. The one drawback, in my opinion, is how they changed the training mechanics. If you can get past that, it's almost as good as it gets.

My son wanted this for Christmas. He's enjoyed it. I count this a good purchase.

I was very skeptical about buying this game since it looked like it was watered down and simplified so I started watching reviews and realized that they made some quality of life changes that make the game more straight forward and less tedious than the main entry games. I’m ok with that with the limited amount of time that I have but next year I expect all the grind with the main entry.

Bought this for my son for christmas. he loves it. Great easy intro to pokemon.

I grew up with Pokémon Yellow so when I got my hands on a Switch, this was a must get. It's an updated version of what I had played as a kid with some pros like not having to teach Pokémon HM moves or battling random Pokemon and some cons like not battling random Pokémon to catch them relying on the Pokémon GO method of capture. No regrets at all but if you're looking for a fully actualized Pokémon experience, go for Sword or Shield (which I am an AVID player of) but if you're looking for a game that's delightful yet familiar, this is your game.

Bought this game for my grandson. He loves this game. He plays it all the time.

I vaguely remember playing this on gameboy but I also remember Nintendo games costing less than other console games. I got it on sale so that is a plus.
