Customers are saying
Customers find value in the engaging gameplay and nostalgic elements of Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu!, particularly enjoying the innovative Poké Ball Plus controller. Many appreciate the game's ease of use and consider it fun for players of all ages, although some find the price point a bit high and the Poké Ball Plus somewhat small. The simplified catching mechanics are a point of contention for some, while others wish for a more challenging experience. Overall, the game is praised for its charming remake of a classic, but opinions vary on certain aspects of the design and price.

Nostalgia filled, but also great for younger kids
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is an updated version of the original gameboy games, so it hits the high notes on what was fun about them, with some nice updates in game play style. I can see playing this with a younger child and having them enjoy it too!

Great game and awesome pokeball
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First off, the game is really great and adds some awesome features to the classic Pokemon formula. Really a must if you have a Switch and either like Pokemon or are a Go player. The Pokeball adds a lot of extra features

Pokemon Let's Go Bundle
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a really good game. Sure it is not like the GB versions which are a little more challenging. Yet, this is a great game for the additions that are made. Also, the Poke Ball Plus is fun to use and makes the game better.

A remake of a great classic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I heard that yellow was going to be remade I was excited. I couldn't wait to play pokemon on a console. It is really fun to see pokemon walking around the world. If you liked the first pokemon games then this is for you.

Great Pokémon Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Really like the Pokeball, especially as a collectible item. The game plays surprising well with it, though some may not want to play the entire game with just the Pokeball. Still a nice package and the Pokeball was worth it.

Great For Pokemon 1st Timers
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm really loving this game. Most likely it's because I'm new to Pokemon world. Graphics looks great. No need for motion in portable mode. But playing with the poke ball plus makes capturing Pokemons a lot more satisfying.

The game is fun, the ball is just okay
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The ball is kind of a neat idea, but in practice it is kind of a pain. If I could do it over, I wouldn't get the ball. I think it does stuff with Pokemon Go, which I haven't played in a while, so I might like it more if I did. The game itself is a solid remake of a Pokemon classic. So, I'd recommend the game, probably not the ball.

Great game for all ages
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We gifted this to our six year old son, and have watched him and my 30 year old brother spend countless hours “bonding” over the game. My brother loves having a remake of one of his favorite childhood games, as well.

A 'Pick Up and Play' game for Pokemon Fans...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game was just picked up and let's just say that several hours have been spent playing it and that is from a hardcore Pokemon fan who played Yellow years ago. This game has been "simplified" to make it "more friendly" to the younger player and the older adult, who is not a gamer, but wants to play a game with their children. It is just that friendly. I highly recommend the PokeBall controller to "complete the experience". It is accurate and sensitive- you will miss 'easy catches' if your "throw" is slightly off... Yes, it is YOU and NOT the controller in this case. And for the fans... YES... there are MEGA EVOLUTIONS. This is the game that ties in the 'Pokemon Go' Fans as well. Enjoy it until the Pokemon RPG comes out in the next year or so.

Fun game, love it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's been years since I played pokemon proper. But I love the original 151 pokemon, and even though they changed some game mechanics, I still love it... so does my kid who loves to play the support in 2 player mode.

Interesting design choices, but it works
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having grown up playing the original Red/Blue games, some of the changes for these games has been an adjustment. After playing with the new mechanics, it's allowed me to enjoy the adventure, more than the grind.

Takes me back!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you played Pokémon Yellow, Red, or Blue on the late 90’s this game will take you back down memory lane. I like the changes they made where you don’t have to battle every Pokémon you encounter. Tons of fun.

Way better than expected
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve been playing Pokémon for 20 years, longer than I’ve been able to read. I remember playing the original games on Gameboy and needing assistance from family members to work out what was going on. The initial reveal of Let’s Go left me disappointed. I did not have high expectations for this game, and only bought it after seeing the praise it got. What a treat this game turned out to be. The new catching mechanics are an absolute delight and very relaxing. I am not as competitive with games as I was in my younger years, now I play to relax after a long day at work. The new catch mode satisfies that comfortable but fun need, The pokeball controller is also fun to play with and the HD Rumble on it is reaaaally good

great for beginner and vetrans alike
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptical of this game at first as I'm a long term Pokémon fan due to it's more limiting nature compared to previous games but I have been happily surprised. I recommend this game for all Pokémon fans.

Better than I thought though missing core features
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When this game was announced I was worried that it would be a stripped down experience like Pokemon Go is compared to the traditional core games. It actually turned out to be alot better than I thought. It's basically a remake of Pokemon yellow with some modern updates for better or worse. Some of the good things is that you can now see Pokemon in the wild so no more random encounters. You also have modern stuff like EXP Sharing automatically. They also changed some stuff that might upset fans. There are no wild pokemon battles. To catch pokemon you basically have to play a catching minigame with motion controls (or the a button in handheld mode). It can get annoying when you constantly have to use Pokeballs in hopes that you will actually catch something. I miss battling a wild Pokemon to reduce its health to make the catch more likely. Everything else is the same like gym battles and trainer battles. Also the Pokeball Plus works really well. It sucks not having a Y button though during battles to check move summaries while using the pokeball plus. Overall I felt the stuff that annoyed me (which is mostly the catching mechanic) wasn't enough to not enjoy the game. If you are a fan of Poekmon Yellow and don't mind some of the changes this game is great.

Fantastically Nostalgic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I grew up playing the original Pokemon games, and Yellow was quite a revelation, with the ability to have Pikachu follow you. Fast forward 20 years, and Pokemon Let's Go is announced. I was freaking out with excitement. They changed a lot of the tedious parts of the the game, removing random encounters in exchange for real Pokemon walking around...so no more stupid Zubats stopping you to tell you about their lord and savior. It's not part of the mainline Pokemon games, and it's definitely a bit easier, but that doesn't change how fun it is. I haven't been able to put this game down, and put about 8 hours in the first day I got it. It's familiar, but also new, which is the best kind of balance.
