Doesn't feel like a fake or tech demo game, but mechanically feels much like the original gameboy games. It's not a full remake, but a remix (removing random fights) but this streamline feels welcome and plays well, and everything else seems to be in place. Adorable and fun time. However, I don't thin the pokeball accessory is really good to use. most play is using the joystick, which doesn't feel great.

This is an excellent addition to the Pokémon franchise for both casual and hardcore fans. Fans of the original Pokémon yellow will get the enjoyment of exploring the world in high def graphics while new players will get eased into the franchise with some updated game mechanics. The pokeball plus is also a fun addition although not necessary. If you have a Nintendo switch this is a game you’ll want to play.

This is a great new take in Pokemon. It combines Pokemon go with the first generation of Pokemon. Easy to learn how to play. Only complaint is the pokeball is a little small for an adult.

Honestly, I don't know why people think this game was targeted towards kids between 5-10. I'm in my twenties and I think the game is really fun. I like how you see the Pokemon in the wild and you choose to encounter them or not. I always hated, especially in caves, how you within each three steps you would encounter a Pokemon. The graphics, music and animations are fantastic. Love this game.

If you're new to the series, or you've played every Pokemon game ever, this is a great title in the series until the Generation 8 mainline title comes. The gameplay is mixed with mechanics from Pokemon Go with the traditional games, but it honestly isn't as "mobile like" as I thought. It's a great time for kids and adults and a great place to start if you've never tried Pokemon before!

It's almost everything you would want form a Pokemon game. I'd say my only complaint is they made the catching of Pokemon like Pokemon GO. It kind of takes the fun out of battling a wild Pokemon to get that pixel of health just so it doesn't break out of the ball. Everything else is wonderful. I especially enjoy that you can walk around the world with a friend and play together.

I didn't expect much going into this game since it's a true core Pokemon game. However, it's a really great time. The mechanics are streamlined, and I actually enjoy the deeper interaction when catching Pokemon. This is definitely a very casual Pokemon game, so if you're looking for competitive play, this is not going to deliver for you. I find myself playing using the Poke Ball Plus every time I'm playing on my TV. It's pretty intuitive and fun to use. The vibration, lights, and sounds are awesome! I wish there was maybe one more button, especially a Home button. It can be pretty annoying trying to perform basic Switch functions.

I grew up on Pokemon Yellow and I know a lot of people are tired of all the nostalgia fueled remakes lately, but this was a pleasant surprise. If you have kids, they will surely love this. Even if you are an adult looking to go back to Pokemon, you will probably find enjoyment as well. Dont listen to the reviews. Try to play this game before buying to get a taste for yourself.

I shouldn't have to say much else other than what's inside of the title. I'm not a huge Pokemon game player but this game definitely brings nostalgia back as far as the very first game that came out. I definitely had represent with my Pikachu the whole time and I love the idea of the pokeball and being able to level up on the go being an added feature to this version..

Loved it! Easy to set up and fun to play! Pokeball is kinda small tho!

The style is like the new gen 3DS Pokemon games with the catching features of the Pokemon Go mobile app. You can see the Pokemon before you encounter. No in-game currency. Could be fun for those that have been playing from 1996 or newcomers to the franchise. The ball comes with the pokemon Mew. The ball took some time to get used to, but now it's the only way I play.

No matter what level of pokemon Enthusiast you are, this game is incredible! It brings in aspects from the main series games and pokemon go and merges them perfectly. Highly recommend to anyone considering it, even if you don't play pokemon go. If you do play pokemon go then the bundle with the pokeball plus is highly worth it and takes both games to another level!
