Disappointing.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Comparing this to the previous entry, there's no contest. Pokemon is afraid to change and it shows. The new Pokemon are poorly designed and the game is just not fun.

Gen 1 player returning!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The last time I had played a Pokemon game released from Nintendo was Pokemon Yellow back in the Gen 1 days. After those games I feel my interests shifted to other things and Pokemon had seemingly decided to get more complicated and complex as years went by. With the nostalgia and fanfare from Pokemon Go I decided I wanted to play the next entry of the Pokemon series and Pokemon Sun/Moon enters the scene! Overall coming in with only in-depth knowledge of how things are with Gen 1 I was still easily able to grasp the new mechanics and systems that have been entered in. The developer was smart to include some new non-intrusive, helpful systems by showing you the effectiveness of a move after you have battled and encountered a Pokemon from before. That system is just one example of something that is very helpful while not being cumbersome or entirely unnecessary. I can easily recommend this game to both old fans and new fans alike!

Best Pokemon Game of the 2010's
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not only did Pokemon Moon live up to my expectations, it exceeded them! I haven't had this much fun playing a Pokemon game since probably the first generation games of Red and Blue. This is a MUST have for any Pokemon fan!

New poke'mon
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Been big fan since poke'mon red and blue. I'm enjoying the new stuff the game has and the new pokemon have been great Alola vulpix is my favorite alolan pokemon. It's typical pokemon game, but has island trials instead of gym battles. kinda same thing, but you battle a totem pokemon instead of gym leader. I enjoyed the trails and the new characters and the team skull is interesting. At moment I'm getting ready to go for elite four had to find gabite and trade for vulpix to complete my team. The pokemon refresh feature is nice it's like amie one in previous games and provides some benefits in battle if you max out the hearts.

7th Gen Pokemon are here
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With the new Pokemon games, it felt like a good change of pace to actually switch up the formula for the series. We've had the usual "beat 8 gyms, battle Pokemon League, The End" story throughout 20 years, It's a good change that now we no longer have Gyms and now have Island Trials instead. It gives these new games a breath of fresh air while retaining the core gameplay mechanics of previous Pokemon games. Overall these new changes are welcome in my book!

A great game about domesticating animals
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for myself and my girlfriend got Pokemon Sun. We had a great time domesticating these ferocious creatures to fight for us so that we could make other people give us their money. I plan to play it for many months, but my girlfriend is faster than me because she doesn't like training all the creatures like I do. She likes Slowpoke and Mimikyu. She also likes Pikachu, but now admits he's weak.

The wait was worth it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As soon as I saw the trailer for Pokemon Sun and Moon on YouTube,I knew I had to pre-order it.Lots of people have been waiting for so long to get their hands on this game and I was worried that as soon as I got mine,I would've been disappointed. When the demo came out,I instantly played it.I ended up craving more. But the wait was worth it! This game is so amazing even though I just barely started it.What I like about this is that you don't have to battle gym after gym in order to progress. There are around 4 islands in the game and each is controlled by an island Kahuna. The only way you can get to them is by completing some side quests or fighting in battles, which is completely different from previous Pokemon games in which you had to battle a bunch of gym leaders in order to get some progression.Another aspect that I like about the game is the time difference between Sun and Moon.Moon plays in a different time zone than Sun,which makes the game-play a bit more interesting. These are just some of the things that you'll find different from previous game generations.Regardless,I enjoy this game and I know I'll spend a lot of time playing it.
