This was my first introduction to the land of Hoenn. I skipped Ruby Sapphire and Emerald while growing up, so I don't really have much to compare this to other than the games I have already played in the franchise. Like the previous remakes of old Pokemon games, Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire use their respective generation's sequel, Pokemon X and Y's engine, and rebuild the world of Hoenn. At its core, it is Pokemon X and Y, but set in another location and lacking trainer customization. But it does add more. Several new mega evolutions, a new post-game story, and many legendaries from previous games to catch. It might not be for everyone, but if you have the extra money to spend and you want to keep up to date with the Pokemon metagame scene, it's a must.

I pre-ordered and picked this game up as soon as the doors opened. Maybe not the best idea to grab it during finals week since it wasn't touched til winter break started. Other than that the game itself is mounted with hours of open world gameplay. Even once you finish the main story line you can keep yourself occupied with the battle tower, leveling up your Pokémon, building up your Pokédex, or in my personal scenario, catching the legendaries riddled throughout the game. No matter age or gender this game will keep you entertained for hours and is much more than a re-make with 3D capabilities. A must buy.

Graphics bad and same as GBA game. Pokemon X was funner and better

This is my boyfriend's 2nd 3DS Pokemon game and he loves it! He's even trying to get me to start playing the one for regular DS! I'm glad we were finally able to find it in stock in a store...it was pretty hard to track down and it's not a wonder why...the Pokemon games are ALWAYS legendary!!

I actually bought the double pack with this and the blue each as an x mas present for my sons. It works out perfect ones favorite color is red the others is blue. Just like Minecraft I don't know what they put in these games but my kids love them.

I love seeing a good chunk of the legendaries obtainable in this game. The graphics are great and the second screen system has been improved so much. Already have logged 50+ hours into gameplay and don't plan on stopping!

I've always been a fan of Pokemon. The Omega Ruby never disappoint me. I finished the game more than twice and it never becomes boring. If you're a fan of pokemon or like good games, you must have this one.

I love Pokémon games and this one could be my favorite on the 3ds

This game has virtually the same story as the original Pokemon Ruby version with better graphics. If you have never played Pokemon or are a diehard fan, then this game is for you.

I own the original GBA version, and looks very nice compared to it, but I was hoping that the cartridge was a special edition like the GBA one that was crystal red, but its plain gray.

Pokemon Ruby/Saphire have always been my favorite generation the the Pokemon game series. These remake build upon a already great foundation and create something truly special. The music in this game is the best I've heard, with nostalgic tunes being remixed while still keeping the charm of the original.

This is a great modernized version of a Pokemon classic game. There's so much stuff to do. I can't think of anything that it's missing. Great game.

The game is now more interesting with better graphic and more game plays, secret routes and fun things to discover throughout the game.

One of the classic pokemon updated and better than ever. More Legendaries than ever, and in glorious 3D definitely not one to miss.

Got Omega Ruby for christmas, and I love the new features they added as well as the classic pokemon that I get to experience again.

Not a great story or introduction to Pokemon after X or Y but at least there is a lot more content for the end game

yes it has its flaws here and there, other than that go buy this now! best pokemon game on the market as of yet!

I love Pokemon and this game is does the job good! Lot's of gameplay, many hours to be played here.

Great updated version of an already great game. Would highly recommend to Pokemon fan.
