Fun Game
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only downside, as everyone else has mentioned, are the small technical issues here and there. Doesn’t bother me as much, however. Overall good gameplay, it’s Pokemon.

Yes theres technical issues but….
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Jusy finished the game and can still say its one of the best Pokémon games to date. The glitches were annoying at times but did not completely compromise the experience

Performance Issues Hold It Back
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I spent launch weekend playing this game. Overall, it’s fun at times, and it’s nice for Pokémon to be in an open world. However, there are several technical problems. Frame rates are horrible and all over the place. This shows most often in NPCs walking or the windmills turning. It’s very choppy. The Pokémon storage boxes will fade to black and take a second to load all the Pokémon you’ve caught. People and shadows will flicker in and out. Camera control is a little wonky. There are times when the camera will show what’s underneath the world. This game could have spent more time in development. On the plus side, after doing the beginning part of the game, you really can go anywhere and do the three main storylines in any order you wish. There is no level scaling so that means you might meet a Pokémon or a trainer who is beyond your current team. Bottom line: the game does just enough to be engaging, but the performance issues are too numerous to ignore. If you are a casual player, I recommend waiting to see if Game Freak issues some patches before buying. If you are devote Pokémon fan, then you will enjoy this game despite the warts.

Groundbreaking massive open world
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Groundbreaking Pokemon game. Massive open worlds you share with Pokemon seamlessly unfolds as you explore alone or with friends. It's one of the main reasons to own a Switch and a must have for Switch owners, especially Pokemon fans!

Best story sinse b4 sword
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like rhe story and that it has 3 different path ways. You can either face a abnormal pokemon, face gyms or face a bad team like team rocket.

Awesome
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very fun. Its still a bit buggy, maybe some updates will fix it, but nonetheless it is still easy to get lost in the nastalgia of catching Pokémon!

Performance Issues
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The story and base game was slightly above average with plenty of things to do this time around, although somewhat overwhelming. However, the grahpics pedrormed very poorely on certain parts of the map. I defiently had below 15 frames per second at many points and the game would run slow

Good game. Love the new concept
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the new open world concept of the game. It makes it a little easier to choose your own path and what you want to do., while keeping the same type of pokemon game going. One of the downsides is that just like recent pokemon games, it doesnt mean a lot to build up Pokemon rosters and fill your pokedex. Your starter is basically the only one you need to use and it takes away from wanting to truly battle with all the different pokemon. I want the old roster style back where you had to work to level up your Pokemon.

Some minor performance issues but still so fun
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have never been much of a Pokemon fan but the open world and cool new Pokémon designs persuaded me to give it a try. I found the story sweet and not too overbearing. The depth of gameplay is surprisingly deeper than I thought it would be. Traveling the open world and catching pokemon and battling is everything I hopes it would be

A Very Flawed Masterpiece
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Both Scarlet and Violet truly capture and realize the dream of a true Pokemon adventure. I have played every Pokemon game to have ever come out and none have been this much fun and fulfilling. But with that said, the unpolished performance and the horrible technical short comings keep this game from being perfect. Are these issues game breaking? No, but they are unacceptable and should be fixed!
