Yes, the game is glitchy, the graphics are subpar by Nintendo Switch standards, and 100% GameFreak should have made sure the game was complete before releasing; however, it is a truly unique and fresh take on the Pokemon formula. Excluding Arceus, it is the most fun I’ve had with a mainline pokemon game in a while. Definitely recommend a play through.

With the addition of Pokémon Scarlet (and Pokémon Violet) added to my growing Pokémon game collection, my new adventure continues. New adventure means new regions to explore and new Pokémon to catch. I really like the colorful artwork and graphics. It’s crisp and clear, giving it a sense of realism even though it is a game. Many hours of fun with this game.

Awesome pokemon game to play really recommend to try

Very awesome game and it runs GREAT on the Switch 2 now!

This is easily the largest Pokemon game to date, with so many things to do and creatures to capture in the series' first open world that fans will be playing it for years. The visual issues and glitches hold it back a bit, but nothing that breaks the game. Just don't expect it to rival something like Monster Hunter or Elden Ring in execution.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet show that Game Freak is truly trying to grow and evolve the Pokemon Formula. Learning from the baby steps that Sword and Shield’s Wild Area and DLC, as well as 2022’s Pokemon Legends Arceus, show that Open World Pokemon has a formula that can work. That means you can tackle any of the games challenges in any order that you desire. Combine this with a solid story, great Pokemon designs, and you get an incredibly fun and solid game…. until the performance issues arise. From low frame rate to stuttering to issues with Pokémon models, this game easily needed upwards of an extra year to sort out performance issues. With that in mind, if you like Pokémon, you’ll find something to like in Scarlet and Violet, unless the performance issues overwhelm you first.

I hadn’t played a Pokémon game since the days of Pokémon red, yellow, green, and blue. I figured I’d try Scarlett to see what the modern games are like and I instantly got hooked. The graphics are great and the gameplay is as fun as I remember. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun game to play by themselves or with their kids

The product - the Nintendo Switch card - works perfectly fine as advertised and receives 5 stars. The content of the product - the game itself - 3 stars. There are lots of visual glitches in Pokemon Scarlet that detract from the quality of the game and disrupt the immersion of the player. The poor traversal of terrain in this faux open-world game is frustrating. You may as well not try to explore the world until you unlock all of the mobility options (follow Arven's Herba Mystica quest for that). The rest of the game is a standard Pokemon game with cool characters and unique new gameplay options, but the amount of bugs really makes it hard to enjoy.

Never been much of a fan of pokemon. But my 7 year old loves it. No complaints

Yes there is performance bugs. But beyond that this is a really fun game. The ability to have your own unique adventure, doing various storylines, and just explore and find new pokemon around each corner is so fun. I was guilty of just running around the region, and just seeing whet there was to offer before I progressed the game further.

I grew up playing Pokemon Silver, Crystal, Ruby, Saphire, Leaf Green, Emerald and stopped after that. I did just buy a Switch and bought this new version and wow this game just isnt the same like the good old days. It isnt bad but its so different. Enjoyable but some things are much better back then, Overall I'm having fun with it

Grandson said game works perfectly and he loves it. I can not comment on the actual characters and tech of the game.

It was an actual attempt to make it an open world more so than the lazy GTA trilogy upgrade. It is an actual good game, but the constant technical problems really hold this back. I recommend waiting a little longer until the updates fix the major issues.
