It properly moves the franchise forward in gameplay aspects, many QoL improvements, and the new mons are pretty funny overall. ** patches are needed for overall quality but not enjoyments IMO.

Decent looking, cool designs, interesting story lines and good mechanics. It does have some issues that, as of writing, have not been patched out, but this has potential.

Buggy, but fun, game

I have had it crash a time or two (thank goodness for autosave). The game itself is a ton if fun.

However the storylines and the gameplay overall was just some of the most fun ive had with a pokemon game, especially with the world design

The first official open world Pokemon games really lived up to its hype! I would highly recommend even as a present to anyone with a Switch.

Great IP but terrible game development

The IP of pokemon is what keeps this game afloat. I enjoyed my time collecting the new mons but the overall lazy world art, lack of game optimization, camera issues and glitches did impact my experience overall. Gamefreak bit off more than it can chew this time around. Hopefully the next iteration of pokemon will be more polished and ready for delivery because this game is 100% half baked. Very ambitious open world goals but terrible execution and final product leaves way to much to be desired. If this were not a pokemon game it sould be gettung a 1 star or 2 star review.
