    Got it for son birthday gift. Pretty much the same game as sword just with different characters.

    It's still the pretty standard Pokémon formula, though many things have been simplified like routes and the story, which could be a bad or good thing depending on the person. It's easy to overlevel Pokémon and steamroll everything. The Wild Area is a good idea but tries to cram too much in a small space. The co-op raiding is fun, where up to four players can team up to take down huge Pokémon in battle. Still a good game to get for kids, who have little or no sense of past games.

    As a Pokemon veteran this game was amazing with its visuals and new ideas, but what the game lacked was the story and the limitation of pokemons. The story was very bland and short. You are basically holding hands with the game as your going through. The story wasn't interesting at all. I played through the whole game, the most fun was just battling dynamax pokemons. The gyms were actually fun compared to the last installment. I would still recommend of you are new to the series.
