This was a great game! My son ended up liking it so much that he beat it and then wanted the other game.

cool game. i liked the safari zone even tho ppl hated on it online. but id still recommend playing it

Perfect introduction into the series for children new to Pokémon, not a great fit for anyone looking for a big challenge

I never really kept up with Pokemon after the 3rd generation, so I knew I would be very confused at 85% of the Pokemon in this game, but it's super easy to play and it's like I never left.

Pokemon has always been one of my favorite franchises and getting a game finally on a console was a dream come true. Highly recommended.

A must have for any Pokemon fan. The game is amazing from the start and multiplayer raids are THE best addition to the series in awhile.

While it may not have been the true next gen experiences many felt they were promised, this is still a charming experience that brings a new set of Pokémon to populate a new region.

One of my favorite so far. Really good game, with a good social impact. The online is a bit messed up sometimes but it's not so annoying.

I haven't played Pokemon since I was a kid but totally got into this one. Perfect evolution of the old series. Highly recommend.

Pokémon shield was one of the best games that came out in 2020, not the best but one of the best.

Hated this when it came out, but it’s still my most played switch game. Also the second time I’ve bought it lol

If you like pokemon, you'll probably like this one as well. There are parts of the game that feel rushed, and would've benefited from more time to work on the game. It adds some interesting ideas, with the wild area and the new raid battles. But falls flat in the online part, as basic key features were removed (such as the gts or easily trading with friends. You can still trade with your friends but now you have to use a passcode to do it and you can't just click on your friend to trade. It's really dumb.) The story is lack luster, but the pokemon themselves are pretty solid. It'll scratch the itch for a pokemon game, but that's about it.

I havent played a pokemon game in a long time and enjoying this very taking me back to red and blue days
