Many of us were hoping the game would be revolutionary with the Pokemon franchise getting a proper release on a home console only to find out its rather iterative. The graphics are unimpressive and not much has been added beyond new pokemon (while loosing prior ones). Its still a solid pokemon title.

Fun game! The prices are slowly killing me but it absolutely could be worse. I love the graphics of the newer Pokémon games so I'm always excited when a new one comes out. Naturally I don't love that all of the Pokémon I love are available in it but beggars can't be choosers.

Pokemon Still the newest game out. about to get dated but still so much fun to catch up if you have been out of the game for years. Def recommend.

This Pokemon game is exactly what I look for in this series, you can catch a lot of Pokemon in the beginning so you can know which of them you want early and it isn't too difficult to do so.

This game was purchased as a birthday gift for my niece. She absolutely loves it! She enjoys the new Pokémon and new adventures. The graphics are absolutely stunning!

Most everyone has heard of Pokemon Sword & Shield's shortcomings by now. Yeah, I'd like all the pokemon to be in the game & the wild area has frame drops when you're online but not once did I feel like I wasn't having fun. I've been playing since gen 1 & I'd recommend it to any pokemon fan for sure.

If you enjoy the other iterations of pokemon then you'll enjoy this one. The graphics are better and its nice to be able to switch from handheld to the big screen if someone else is using the tv. Being able to see which pokemon are out in the wild is a big improvement instead of random encounters.

Gave it to my husband as a gift and he loved it. His been a Pokémon gamer since forever and he said this time its a game changer because it now offers trainers to do some raids like PoGo.

Great game in a very different style than what I'm used to in a Pokemon game. I prefer the old 2D style, but this game is still as fun and enticing to play as ever.

I got it as a present for my brother, and he likes it a lot. He is a huge fan of Pokemon games, and has been playing them since the he first got a Gameboy color.

I was hesitant about playing a new Pokémon game since being an avid player for the last 20 years since I started with Red and Yellow version, however, it was worth upgrading to a Nintendo Switch for it. I love being able to see the storyline of Pokémon grow more complex and giving the players a new experience. I understand why some are upset about introducing Dynamax after Mega Evolution and Z-Moves... and I wish both of those previous concepts would've been incorporated... but I love the game. It's been entertaining and interesting so far. Waiting for the 2nd part of the expansion pass. Enjoying the content.

Bought this for my nephew as a Christmas gift, let me just tell you, I’m remain on the awesome aunt list. He loves playing it, and my sister hates me cause she can’t get him to stop.

This game is great! Many new things have been added like Gigantamaxing that adds a spin to the game. It looks great and has a slightly more drawn out story than we've had before.

I bought this game for my son for Christmas. He will be sooo happy when he opens his gift. I can't wait to see the excitement on his face. He's going to love it.

Classic battle style with some many improvements with the menus, that the game is so fun to play! The world is so amazing to explore and to just catch new Pokémon in is a ton of fun!

Been playing since Pokemon since Red version on my Gameboy Pocket, and this game is easily in my top 5 favorite pokemon games ever. Plenty of new pokemon, new features and solid story.

My husband and I are addicted to this game even if it's a 'kid's game's. Basically, it's fun for all ages whether you know anything about Pokemon or not.

A really cool game that introduces several new Pokemon, the Wild Area is amazing, there is a lot of room for improvement, but it was a good start for the first HD entry of the series

I'm playing so sword currently but have this copy too. Game play is great, and I've been spending a lot of time in enhancing my pokemon. Very addictive if you like mindless grinding.

The game has its pros and cons. However when it comes down to it, it is a Pokemon game and does the job. As a gamer its a weaker game on the switch. As a Pokemon fan it does enough to get me enjoying the series again. If you haven’t played Pokemon in awhile then a recommend getting the game
