Pokémon Sword & Shield are strong first attempts for the series’ full transition to consoles. While some frustrations hold it back from true legendary status, this new generation proves the Pokémon franchise is still great more than two decades after its debut.

This is another Nintendo switch product that we purchased for grandkids Christmas. They love these products in have been talking about this one for a while. We are sure it will not disappoint. We'll update the review after Christmas.

Pokemon Sword and Shield are fun games. They're just not for those looking for anything more than a Leap Frog Basics level of design.Outside of graphical presentation, the games are almost identical to their Game Boy era counterparts while Pikachu's friends in other Nintendo IPs are barely recognizable.

This game is probably the easiest Pokémon game that has been made. That being said it is quick to go through but there is a lot of endgame things to do. Such as shiny hunting, raid dens, battle training. Plus there will be an expansion dropping in June.

Spitting image of Pokemon Sword but still fun above all else!

This is a nice entry in the Pokemon series. The game is as fun as past Pokemon games with some improvements. While more may have been expected of Pokemon first Switch release, this game is still great and shows even more promise for the future of Pokemon.

If you have played pokemon sword then this would be the same other than the legendary pokemon you get and the different types that are in shield vs sword

Amazing game! Totally worth the $50 I payed for it, paired with the DLC it's a awesome experience. Haven't been able to finish it yet, but I'm currently on the last gym and it's been an amazing game with beautiful graphics.

Best Buy had this for sale at $40 so I had to jump on this deal. This is my first Pokémon since Sapphire and it’s refreshing to see a lot of new Pokémon. A lot of reviews complain about the graphics but it’s honestly not a big issue

This game brought me joy but didn't keep me playing until the end.

The same Pokemon formula you’ve come to expect, but that’s hardly a bad thing or all this game has to offer. New features like the Wild Area and some actually very good Pokemon designs keep the series strong for its first main series game on consoles.

Another good pokemon game. Haven't played since Ruby/Sapphire generation.

Definitely not as challenging as the Pokémon games of old, but still beautiful.

Fans of the series and newcomers alike will find this to be an excellent entry in the Pokemon mainline series! A huge world to explore, tons of monsters to train and collect, and much more to be enjoyed in this adventure! A must buy for Switch owners.

Another great entry in the pokemon series. Don't listen to other people's opinions on Dexit, this one is totally worth your time. Refreshingly new mechanics like raids and many QoL features like easier box access is very nice to have. Go spend the money!

Bought this item for a Christmas gift, grandson was very happy

So it may not have the insane graphic updates we all wanted but it's still a solid pokemon game through and through. I'm hoping they don't have a GTS right now because it's just not ready... It bums me out that there isn't one yet.

I’m happy that I purchased this game since I was on the fence about it. I knew how much time this game would take away from me but all the hours so far playing it were great. Much better than Pokemon Let’s Go Pikachu or Eevee and don’t regret buying it.
