The new region is charming, the trials are much more interesting than the gyms of past games, and the story has been great. Just an FYI, if you don't have a New 3DS, you will encounter frame rate dips when there are more than 2 Pokemon on the screen at the same time. Very noticeable difference, but nothing game breaking.

After 20 years of steady evolution, Pokémon made some changes to its existing formula. I found it enjoyable throughout the main adventure and small upgrades along the way made a few of the things that stayed the same feel better than before.

Before you decide to purchase this game you need to understand that it is completely different from any previous Pokémon game. The only similarities are the battles. If you don't mind hand-holding through the entire game and the difficulty being extremely easy where strategy is barely used, then you may really like this game. Yes, this game did bring a nice change of pace from the previous games, but in my opinion shouldn't have been released as part of the main series and instead with the games like mystery dungeon. Also, it was unfortunate that I found myself choosing the Pokémon from the previous generations, rather than the new ones since the majority of them were much more powerful. If you have the chance to test the game out before you purchase it I would highly recommend doing so, since it isn't for everyone.

First Pokémon game to really change things up. The classic battle system is there, with new features to help keep you engaged while being more accessible for new players.

I bought Sun and Moon (one for me and one for my girlfriend) and we both play the game all the time. This game offers a lot of content for a Pokemon game.

Just when you thought they'd never change anything up they did! I love the new format of Trials and Totem Pokemon! It allows more interactions with characters other than "Welcome to my gym, oh you neat me, here's my gym badge and a TM" and the Totem Pokemon can actually be pretty hard too since they actually use some meta-stuff you would see in competitive battles-strategies! I love it! No HM's either! FINALLY! My only gripe so far about the game is that the routes seem/are extremely short and it feels like the game is holding your hand.

Ultimately it's another Pokemon game. The one thing that can really throw you off is the calling for help. Certain pokemon ONLY come out when others are called for help. Which can get tiresome. Otherwise, If you've played before or play GO. Get this.

This is my first Pokemon game, and I am loving the graphics worth it!

It has a few interesting additions to the pokemon world. Otherwise, everything is as expected.

Love playing pokémon games because it's fun and you could get for hours at a time playing it.

My daughter has always been a Pokémon fan and this game keeps her interested for hours.

The game retains the same way of battling, but with a twist in the trial battles or what used to be gym battles. The gyms in previous versions followed the same style as the first generation by just having the player defeating the leader. In this new game, the events or battles leading up to the final challenge in the trial differs for each trial such as completing some obstacle to get to the final challenge.

Good addition to the Pokemon series along with alternate Pokemon and mixed with old gens!

I loved this game, but hate how you will face multiple trainers in a row with one or two pokemon instead of facing one with a full team. Seems like a waste of time, but besides that its a great game.

Haven't played since Ruby. Bought a 2ds this week just to play this when it comes out.

This is a game that mixs up the Pokémon formula. Trying something new and different.

Definitely a highly anticipated game from Nintendo. Worth the buy for sure
