If youre looking for a open world kind of game with pokemon this one is really good, the regional pokemon are very interesting and the DLC is just fun xD

One of the most fun pokemon games. Loved it so much, highly recommend.

Over time, I've played all the main series Pokemon games, and I have enjoyed them all to a certain degree. This applied to Pokemon Sword & Shield as well. There will always be a pleasant and familiarly good time to be had with these games. I will say though I don't enjoy how easy this game can be at times, and the map isn't near as fleshed out as the games of the past. I found myself getting bored at times making my way from town to town, but like I said, there is always a simple charm to the Game Freak formula they established all those years ago. If you enjoy Pokemon as it has been, then you'll enjoy this one as well. If you need a fresh experience that feels new, this might not be the game for you.

Best pokemon game out there imo! Me and my girl have been obsessed since we got it. You can see them as you wander around in the grass which is fun and there are soooo many different species in this game. Would HIGHLY suggest

I gotta say this is the absolute best Pokémon game yet. It’s not the hardest game, but it’s the most satisfying for lifelong fans. To be able to see Pokémon roaming around is so cool. And the wild area in this game, you never know what Pokémon you’re going to see / catch!

This was good start from Nintendo to release a new gen game on the Switch. The raids are fun and the music is really good. Some of the new additions to the game are really cool and it will be interesting to see what the future holds. The story in this game however is very weak to non-existent.

This is one the classic Pokemon game on Nintendo Switch. It is just as good as the Pokemon Shield on Nintendo Switch. A must-have for fans!

The game is very good and has a ton of pokemon but for me the raids are addicting I cant stop doing them I already spent a couple hour and still haven't beat a gym because of the raids

This new version of Pokemon is different from the last versions. The whole pokedex from all versions is not available in pokemon in sword. The graphics are pretty good on the Switch! All in all, I still really like this game!!

i like this game, but it's just okay. this is because this game is just like playing pokemon sun and moon. everything just seems repetitive and the graphics just seem a bit outdated.

This is the first game in the series where I really felt like the awe and magic and soul of playing a Pokemon game is missing. It's still Pokemon but.. not like the Pokemon of old. I'll spare you the implications of the mistake that is removing half the Pokemon in the game. It's just a huge mistake what they're doing. For being the first home console iteration of a beloved series, 'extremely disappointing' is an understatement. There were moments in the game where I felt it was leading somewhere, and it just.. doesn't. Plot was silly, post-game plot was sillier but I would've liked that one to have been the main plot. It would've been fun. Wild Area is a good idea, just not well executed and needs a lot of work still. - Graphically, it's decent. Nothing impressive, kind of a letdown, considering making the jump to a console. - Music is great, Pokemon music is usually good. - Gameplay is Pokemon. What more is there to say? As a diehard fan of the games since the beginning, this game is a bad sign of what I believe will be the future of Pokemon. I don't want to say I've outgrown it but rather it's outgrown me.

I haven’t played a Pokemon game in awhile but this was a good game to get back into the series.

I don’t know where these positive reviews of this game are coming from, but as Casual but dedicated fan of the series since red version, this game is riddled with problems. Most new Pokémon designs look terrible, the world is open but feels empty simply because there isn’t much to do. The wild area is ok but seems like a missed opportunity. The camping and cooking mechanics are cumbersome and I rarely use either of those features. The story is one dimensional and boring. The dynamax mechanic is just gimic that isn’t that exciting. The exclusion of a national dex would have been bearable had the above issues not been there, but since the game is riddled with all these issues (lack on content and poorly designed Pokémon) I now find it inexcusable. This game had all the potential to be the best Pokémon game yet, but is one of my least favorite in the entire series. Tbh, don’t waste your money on these games. Hope that the next set of games are better

I Had this game snice launch I recently got a new oled and lost all the save files for Pokémon with the transfer. I'm getting tired of the Pokémon company not having a better solution on having a backup copy of the game. They need to find a fix because its not hard when other Nintendo games can have it.
