Last played in Gen 4 (Diamond and Pearl) so this was a huge jump for me. This game is simply awesome. New Pokémon, new region, and new features. So far I’m impressed! As someone who started way back on Gen 1, this is still Pokémon and it’s still fun.

This was a gift for my son, he just love it the game, the battles and how to capture. Me as a past gamer who start with pokemon yellow doesnt found a better game to introduce to him pokemon. Just great game.

This is a fun game to play alone or with friends. It has also great graphics. Highly recommend!

I bought this game for my nephew since he loves Pokemon. I watched him play and it's pretty impressive how much the graphics have changed since the first Pokemon. I can't say too much about the game but my nephew seems to like it.

Great Pokemon game for Switch! While not the most graphically impressive, the amount of stuff to do in this game is worthwhile! Especially for competitive Pokemon and shiny Pokemon hunting! Definitely would recommend for first time players!

I had a lot of fun playing through this game. There are a lot of really great experiences in it, and it's fun to play with friends as well. That being said, I have 32 hours in this game. I beat the game in just under 30, and the rest wasn't great. I have friends who have played a lot more after finishing the story, but it was immensely boring for me. I didn't bother with the expansions because I knew I'd be bored again at the end of those campaigns, and that made the price of the expansion pass not worth it for me. I want to recommend this game, but when you consider how much it's a cookie-cutter experience from past games with minimal upgrades to graphics and the same core gameplay with new meaningless fluff on top, I can't recommend it unless you're a die-hard Pokemon fan. They're going to need to do something amazing to get me to buy the next one, and I've been playing since generation one (Fire Red). In my opinion, it's too repetitive with past games to be worth it anymore. But don't get me wrong, the campaign is still fun and I still really enjoyed those 30 hours.

It's been a while since I played a Pokemon game but I am loving it all! The quality of life has improved since previous titles. I also love see the old and new Pokemon running around in the wild areas! Highly recommend

As a veteran Pokemon gamer I was disappointed with the lack of a full pokedex as it has always have been in all previous games. The game as forewarned to be by my colleague was rather shorter than expected. Despite these disappointments the game offers a variety of other things that make up for what is missing. I have thoroughly enjoyed the story as well as the after story. I would still recommend this game to people.

This game along with it's Shield counterpart are great kids games and also for those fans of the series. It doesn't continue from previous titles but rather offers an unique yet nostalgic gameplay that will bring warmth to all players. Highly recommend.

It the best game it has been it not that bad but win on airplane mode it will not let any one do a a trade will it on it but win I see it it still has been the most good game to have

This was my first pokemon game purchase since i was a kid. Love playing on my tv. It's refreshed with a nice combo of the classic elements and the new twists to keep it fresh. The only downside is there's almost too many pokemon to catch!

I've been waiting for a full console release Pokemon game for 20 years. Finally this comes out, and it doesn't disappoint too much. While I'd love to have a remake of Pokemon Red/Blue for the Switch, this is what we got. I don't care much for the setting, but the game is pretty. It also stinks that it doesn't have all the original pokemon a lot of us grew up with. Still, its definately worth picking this up.

I have been a fan of Pokemon since I was little and this game does not disappoint in the least. A new region to explore plus new pokemon to capture and collect, new game mechanics to shake things up and great graphics. A great purchase for old and new fans alike.

Basically its like they upgraded the 3ds experience. don't go in expecting a Grand Theft Auto Pokemon effort, map is big but not crazy explorable. Still follows the formula of going town to town, graphics are good but not exactly pushing the hardware. Its my first pokemon sonce Soul silver and I have enjoyed all the new creatures, the new battle system etc. I would give it 5 stars but the online is handled poorly.

I play this game probably more than I should. I absolutely love it. I grew up playing Pokémon on my Game Boy so it's nice to have an updated version of one of my childhood game. The graphics are fantastic and the storyline is good

There's something wonderful about playing a simple, fun, visually mesmerizing, Pokemon game right there on my TV. They made it really easy to level up the party, which is good in some ways but made the game a bit too fast? Still, it was a good buy. I can see myself starting over (and over, and over) a few times, as I tended to do back in the old-school Pokemon days.

The biggest gripe most people will have with Pokemon Sword and Shield is the lack of the national pokedex. There are only 400 pokemon in total in the games. I think the game is almost too linear. There are no intricate caves or hideouts. The most interesting addition to the game is the wild area which acts as a game lengthening buffer zone akin to Hyrule Field in Ocarina of Time with how vast (and empty) it is.

Pokemon Sword is an excellent addition to the popular long running family of Pokemon games! This is my first Nintendo Switch game and it's so vivid and wonderfully designed with many classic features still included. Must Buy!!!

This game is so unique compared to the other games in the series. It has beautiful graphics, a good storyline, and has a lot of changes from other pokemon games that make it super cool. I also like the theme of the game being centered around olympics.

This game looks fantastic and has so much to do! I've play at least one Pokémon game from each generation, and this one has been the most different and innovative so far with the design. Definitely worth it for the sale price of $39.99!
