Good game. I like the original games better but is fun

I stopped playing up to diamond and pearl version, then returned back to moon and sun. Though was not found of pokemon pikachu/eevee go. The mechanics were not traditional and pretty bland. So after hearing about Sword and Shield and it's future developments I decided to give it a go, honestly I was not expecting much but was not considering in getting it until I heard about the online installment. The max raids are fun and the pokemon mechanics are traditional, breeding is easier, whether you are breeding for shines, competitive, or to have then all. The story is amazing and interesting, not going to spill it. A great game to have in your library digital or hard copy.

So far this game is great! The story line goes by so quick but also I haven’t been able to put it down. Definitely gives me Zelda vibes with how everything looks

You get a great game with a great adventure but it feels incomplete. DLC has been added but at a price.

I haven't played a main line Pokemon game in years, but Sword has been such a great place to jump back in. The graphical flourishes that they can do with the power of the Switch are beautiful, and the story is more evolved and in depth than I've come across in the main line games I have played.

I've played all the Pokemon games from the beginning until now and I don't care about the national dex or the cutting of Pokemon from the game because I love playing Pokemon games and this is a very fun Pokemon game and can be at times very challenging especially when it comes to catching the Pokemon . I've already put over 20 hours in to this game to complete the gym challenges and only catched a little over 100 Pokemon and I'm not going to cry about it like other people that it wasn't the exact game I told gamefreak to make and this game is definitely a great start for gamefreak to improve on with graphics and adding more Pokemon to future games.

Awesome Pokémon game! I love this game and play it so much. New story and Pokémon are very good. Definitely buy the expansion pass.

I really like how it has more of an open world feeling, and although the graphics are limited on the switch, I still think it looks beautiful and is the best Pokemon game so far.

I haven't played much Pokémon, but the kids have been having fun playing. Decent graphics and pretty good music. Doesn't seem too difficult but they are still early in the game.

10/10 best purchase I’ve made this year. The graphics are great and the story is great. I really love that the Pokémon walk around in the wild area. It adds so much to the game.

Per my teenager son, it's Amazing.he enjoys the game and the graphics are amazing.keeps him entertained.the story is good even I'm hooked in to the game.

This is coming from a PS4 owner and someone who has played the Pokémon Series throughout Middle School and Some of Elementary. Recently got a switch, and was looking for some AAA games that would last a long time. This is it. The gameplay may seem easy at first, but the gyms get harder and Pokémon you catch get harder. The gameplay mechanics are just classic, nothing new. Select an attack and it attacks. Would recommend if you are into collecting as it’s a very simple game concept, but a complex world with great scenery, etc. Would recommend. It’ll last a long time

First pokemon and last game I played on a Nintendo console was pokemon red. Until I got the switch and got lets go pikachu. Also played Pokemon go when it super popular. So many great quality of life changes such as pokemon showing up in the wild vs random encounter, shared exp, and access box from anywhere in the world. Dynamax is actually fun and I spent so much time in the wild before I even started the first gym battle. Highly recommended for returning players and new fans of the genre.

This game got a lot of people including myself upset pre-launch. The thought that our beloved favorite Pokemon would in many cases not be able to come with us again on another Pokemon journey was heart breaking I wanted to shun this game hard. But I didn't. I gave it a chance and was surprised to find that it was fun and beautiful. I miss the other Pokemon but the new ones were great and the way that I had to change my way of thinking with this new set of Pokemon was invigorating. If you are on the fence like I was and you have the money, try this game. It is wonderful, you will not regret it.

My family loves this game. A lot of new characters and a fun story line. Hours of action and fun for the whole family.

This is an amazing Pokemon game. I love the new Pokemon and the wild area. It would've been great if they would've incorporated all Pokemon, but it's still a great game.

When you first start the game it reminds me so much of the old GameCube games with better graphics it’s a really amazing game the story is good the gameplay is awesome!

Graphics are AMAZING !! Game is easy enough for my 9 yr old daughter to enjoy it throughout the game. She loves it game. Highly recommended for all ages!! Great game!!

Pokemon Sword is a great first entry for Pokemon on the Switch. The graphics are great, the new Gyms have a fun twist, and the new Pokemon are neat. Highly recommend!
