This was a gift for my boyfriend, an avid Pokemon player-- he loved it! Ultimately we ended up returning this one, though, for the Best Buy Pokemon Sword and Shield double pack. But no complaints, boyfriend just wanted the ultimate edition :)

Love this game. Reminds me a lot of Pokémon sapphire with how the gameplay works, it’s just with newer gen pokemon. Only thing you have to get used to is the dialogue but otherwise very good game!

I got this game as a gift for a 13 year old boy. My son has it and wanted his friend to have it too so they can play together. Fun game and both my son and his friend love it.

It's pokemon. I have a good time with this game, the gimmick is this one is nothing new sadly. The open "wild" are is cool, but the Dynamax, and Gigantamax is just mega evolutions from X&Y, with the Z moves from Sun and Moon.

This is the best Pokémon game so far and my preference is the Sword version. This is a unique experience and it's going to keep you entertained for a long time with continuous events happening every week.

It's been quite a while since I've delved into a Pokemon game, and this was the perfect time to jump back in. Loving the graphics, and all the cute new characters. I was hoping for some old favorites to be available in this game, but unfortunately not every pokemon was able to make it into this game. Hopefully they'll be available with upcoming DLC.

Excellent product, the best. I would buy again and again

This game gives me the feels as a child when playing pokemon on the Nintendo 64 and Gameboy traveling the world catching all the rare pokemon that I can. Now if it's even cooler that we can trade pokemon with people online :)

Excellent for new and old players alike. I haven't been as enthused about the expansions and how easy everything is to get now, but the base game was a great return for me after only playing the early games.

If you love Pokemon games, you'll love this. It's keeps it's style as a game designrd for handheld playing, so don't expect a massive 100+ hour rpg, that's not what they were going for. But they took the classic model made it better!

Got this for mys son, he really enjoy playing it. he is 6 and i was worry that he will be too complicated for him but i am to actually see him reading all the dialogue .

Great game just wish it had more of the earlier gen pokemon.

Not since the 4th Pokémon generation has a game really brought the brand forward, and this game is no different. Lots of changes made for the first switch Pokémon game but few of them will be part of the future of the series. All in all, a decent entry but didn’t make the splash red and blue or diamond and pearl made at the beginning of a handheld generation.

The game has some awesome and interesting new features that combine some of the latest Pokémon games such as Pokémon Let’s Go (Eevee and Pikachu) and Pokémon Go. I enjoyed the game and it’s first appearance on Nintendo’s latest console.

Fun for Pokemon fans but leaves a lot to be desired! Hope the next Switch Pokemon game expands the scope of the games a bit.

The classic formula is still here. It's always fun to collect and battle. Lots of quality of life adjustments that make jumping into battling or shiny hunting easier than ever. Unfortunately the game also takes a step back with no national dex, less than mediocre story, and inconsistent graphical quality with animations, textures, and framerate in the wild area while online.

Its amazing being able to finally play pokemon on the big screen, there were only a few before this going back to the gamecube but none have been like this, great game and graphics

This is a fun game for anyone who likes Pokémon or wants to get into it. There is a storyline and lots of reading so not good for younger kids unless someone can help them read. Really fun to play.
