Extremely fun open world game it looks incredible and plays even better

I love Pokemon, but for the first actual open world Pokemon game it was a let down graphically. The render distance and visual quality was not great. Terastallization is a decent mechanic, but nothing will ever beat mega evolution.

Love the new graphics and lots of new pokemon, bought this for christmas

id say im a casual when it comes to pokemon. I played X and omega ruby on 3ds as the last pokemon games ive touched. This game does not disappoint. It was hard to get into at the start but once your main adventure starts its easy to lose track of time because of the exploration. however it does drain switch battery insanely quick and fps drops here and there.

Some technical issues but otherwise fantastic game and glad to be back

Bit glitchy and not the best graphics but still a great game

I have been playing this since launch and it’s been a fun experience. I enjoyed every minute. I experienced bugs here and there but the gameplay and stories are engaging. Like helping Arven with titan quests and battling gym leaders.

Laggy but good game though. Recommended if you love pokemon

Despite some "peformance" issues, the game is fairly fun to play. Catching and battling pokemon is fun and so is hatching eggs. Graphics could be better but the nintendo switch isnt that powerful to handle better graphics.

Buggy game, pre order bonuses aren't the coolest. Definitely are worse purchases to make. It's a Pokémon game, they could've waited longer and polished it up more, it would've been cool if it had more Pokémon. It's getting DLC and is still supported, compared to a lot of other games.

My son is really happy with this game, this was one his Christmas present

This game is insanely addicting and I truly love it. The only issue is the amount of graphic glitches that happen in the game, but as a person who enjoys the overall concept rather than how it looks, I think that this deserves at least a 4 star. If the graphics were not so glitchy or occasionally slow, it would've been a perfect game.

A little more childish than I was expecting. The game does not run smooth at all on the switch oled even when docked. I'm not sure if Nintendo is doing there target market research on there player base for the pokemon series but it sure seems like they are miles off in my opinion. Making the pokedex into a Pokémon itself is just stupid... The map magnifying glass having eyes just showcases the age group there going for (think Dora the explorer..._) Some of the battle scenes and choice to go open world are nice. Wish there was a way to speed up text even more as well as cut out alot of the dialogue. For me this was a swing and a miss guys. But ive been playing since the originals, which i continue to play from time to time.

The game is great overall other than the glitches.

Despite all of the negativity the games have recieved in the past few weeks. It doesnt perform as awful as people seem to over exagerate. Catching pokemon with friends in real time is very fun. A step in the right direction, but more time was needed.

I haven't played a Pokemon game since Gold and Silver, and this one is amazing. I've heard if you don't have a switch 2 it's a bit buggy, but on the switch 2 it runs perfectly.
