It's pokemon, they added an extra dimension, but all that really means is that you can move diagonally now, and it looks prettier. The game takes advantage of the spot pass feature as well as friending capabilities to grant bonuses for using both. To reiterate, it's a pokemon game. The core gameplay is unchanged, so if you want more of the same, this is for you. If you hate the old ones, this isn't going to be different enough to change your opinion.

Great Pokemon game for the Nintendo 3ds. It looks clear and is easy to navigate around.

Fantastic game which includes many interesting levels

The Pokemon series has greatly evolved since the release of the original games, Pokemon Blue and Red. Some of those changes have been good, and some of those not so great. This game though provides an excellent balance of being a throwback to earlier Pokemon games, yet incorporating both modern and new features to give it a modern feel. I advise anyone who has not played a Pokemon game in some time to give this game a chance.

The last pokemon game that I played was the old Silver version. At first I was hesitant to jump into the game that I hadn't played in years but after seeing my friends playing I decided to try it out. So far it has been pretty much the same game but with better graphics and a lot more pokemon to customize your squad. It has not been overwhelming and I look forward to utilizing the online portions once I finish the story.

Bought this game as a Christmas gift for my nephew and he loves it.

When I was younger I was obsessed with Pokemon. I started with Pokemon Red and since then have logged tons of hours on Pokemon games. The last Pokemon game I played was Ruby Red on the GBA so it has been a while since I've played Pokemon but this game definitely lived up to all expectations. It's an easy game to get into and sometimes hard to put down. It brings back great memories and has its own unique style.

Pokemon X is a great addition to the Pokemon series. I really enjoyed all the different features that were added. I love being able to customize my character.

when I asked my kid about this game ... he wouldn't stop raving about it.. Better story line than most, love the graphics, you can design your own character.

I've loved Pokemon for a long time and got this a gift for my kid cousin. I hope he finds as much joy in Pokemon as I did growing up.

Great game, I loved the new concept. It was a little too easy though and blew threw it really quickly. Good news is there's plenty to do after you beat it. Story line was OK, not the best.

I grew up playing the original Red, Blue, and Yellow versions and loved them all dearly. I have always wanted a more improved version and all the others in between didn't seem to be too much of an improvement for me to jump on board, but X and Y are amazing. The graphics and gameplay are amazing! I may be an adult now but I had just as much fun if not more playing through this as I did as a kid!

If you are a 3DS owner, this is one you need in your catalog, with almost endless collecting and leveling, this will always be something you can play

Pokemon X and Y have much improved graphics and some nice new training and trading features (like wonder-trade), but is a little easy for the veteran Pokemon player.
